The Gameboy versions featured lots of enhancements. The game is aslo somewhat easier in terms of Gold and EXP grinding, and the middle english was toned down a bit. Its a nice little package though, and it even plays on the original Game Boy, and it is one of the last games i know of that has a custom Super Game Boy border on the SNES. :)

I had it. I lost it. I'm mad. But I wouldn't be opposed to a GBA remake. Or Classics Series release.

Both DW1+2, and part 3 are worth picking up on the GB.

Whoa! Time to get into that series! :D
Off topic a bit - do SGB borders show up on the GC Game Boy Player?

I was browsing some sites and this one lists some of the differences between the nes and GB versions:

game boy oneas are quite a bit shorter and easier.
having played the nes dw1 way too many times and spending hours attacking to get old and experience. yo ucan fly through the gb ones quickly and there are also some parts missing.
great games though, both of them. they even come with nice maps too

Nope, they unfortunately don't, Ed. Just another reason why I prefer the Super Game Boy over the GameCube's Game Boy player.

I really expected that to be the case. GBP is a pale shadow of what it could be, much less impressive than the SGB was back in the day. Hell, it doesn't have half the good stuff that the SGB did, and while automatically colored sprites are nice (Link's Awakening looks good) the loss of user-defined palettes is not... D: Nintendo!
