Question about the PS2 USB headset

I've got MVP Baseball 2004 for PS2 coming in the mail as part of a trade and I'm really looking forward to playing it online. The thing is though I have one of those Socom headsets. Can I use it for this game? I thought I heard a while back that all the new online PS2 games coming out that support voice chat wont work with the original Socom headsets. Is this true?

As far as I know it should work fine. The problematic head sets were the non-Sony/logictec ones, specifically the Talk Net head sets from Datel.

I haven't heard any complaints from my regular PS2 Online customers (aside from the non Sony ones) so you should be okay.

Thanks allot for the info. I was almost sure I'd have to go out and drop $30-$40 on another headset for this game.
