I'm trying to find a list of every Super Nintendo game released in the United States, from a to z.

I need it to be alphabetical.

The old Rarity lists, were done alphabetically.

Anyway to get a link to the old rarity lists?

Another reason that I ask, is because I printed out the old rarity lists for the Genesis, Sega CD, 32X, Jaguar, 3DO, Playstation and Saturn.

But I never printed out the SNES list, or the N64 list, or the Dreamcast list.

I wish I did, because I liked that old format.

1) Click on the rarity list link above.
2) Click on SNES from the Systems list.
3) Click on US Game Releases from the Sections list.
4) When the results appear, clck the Title column header.
5) There's your alphebetized list.
6) Say thank you, or buy the book and help support the work everyone does around here.

NOTE: I've had problems with the sorting in Mozilla Firefox, but MSIE works like a charm.

How about Thank You *and* buying the book?

Thank you!

(Yeah, I'll get around buying it sometime. This summer, I promise.)

Ask in the Collector Guides and Rarity Database forum. I had the same question once and somebody linked me to a site which had a zip file of some of the old rarity/price guide pdf's.

Those (pdf files) were taken off in anticipation of the up and comming DP "Advanced" out this summer. That and the fact that theres this Searchable "Online Rarity Guide" that is pretty sweet unto itself. A slightly different creature, but its really cool once you get used to it.

I kinda preferred the PDF versions as well. I like seeing all the results on the same scrollable page. Not one where I have to load a new page to keep reading.

I agree, I loved the pdf's, hate the new setup. Sorry joe.

I liked the PDF files too. :/ It's okay, though. I plan to order the "Advanced" book (haven't bought the classic guide due to the fact that of those systems I only collect for NES at this time, but this new one is right up my alley).

While I'm at it, I got a question I may as well ask now. Will the new guide cover MVS in addition to Neo Geo AES? Or am I correct in assuming that both guides are home console only? I can understand the reason for that, but MVS is so frequently used as a cheaper equivalent for an AES that it may as well be included. The values for MVS carts are obviously completely different from AES. I know for me personally that I look at my MVS supergun set up and collection no differently than any other console and its collection that I have.

yep, that's the biggest flaw of the new system, i can understand not having the pdf's online though, maybe make them available again for everyone who bought the real guide or make them available a few month after the book release, dunno

I agree too. Maybe the pdf files could be put back up until the book is actually released. Or keep them up and allow subscriber a login and password to view them online.

Why are you sorry?

It's meant to be that way. The PDF files are the book format. So if you like them, all you have to do is get the book! See? Everyone's happy. The online database is meant for quick searches and analysis, not for complete lists (which by the way you can still find at http://www.digitpress.com/lists.htm).

I do not like books because they get outdated. I still use my HTML 4.2 book. I'm not going to keep buying new books when a new game comes out and it is suddenly out of date.

I like the online versions. Actually, I'd like BOTH PDF ones and the online one. I just wish it was easier to search for a term in the whole thing. Not just in certain columns. For instance. If a company makes a game one time then has another publisher. Then another time they actually publish the game but don't necessarily make the game. But nooo.. I have to search for a title or a developer etc.. I want more flexibility. And a way to view MORE listings on a page plus a way to make the font smaller and compress it more. it takes too much space now and the font is too big. I want everything on one line, not two. I don't like wrapping lists.

Question, why do some of the "Slant's" get cut off prematurely?

Make it cooler. Customize it better. Make it pretty.

I want everything

Sheez... have a little patience, no?
As you can probably imagine, it's a pretty massive project, and I for one think it's been rolled-out very well so far.

And if everything was available .pdf format, why would anyone buy the book?

I'm working as hard as I can. Sorry I can't keep up with your demands but there are only so many hours in a day. I'll try harder.

Just a minute, li'l pardner. It's not like the DP Guide comes out every year. To give you an analogy, back at the height of my Star Trek geekiness, I remember when the Star Trek Encyclopedia used to be updated every year or so, always to the tune of $17-$25 a pop. No thanks. That said, they had 52 new shows a year to chronicle, so it was ridiculous to get that book over and over. Joe and the fine folks working on the DP Guides, however, are working with something infinitely more finite (wow, does that make sense?) - only X new homebrews or newly-discovered-old-titles hit each year. An update every 2, 3 or 4 years isn't unreasonable. It might be a little bit different with the DP Guide Advance, but for the "classic" DP Guide, we're not exactly being overwhelmed.

Make it cooler. Customize it better. Make it pretty.
Joe's gotten some invaluable help from folks like SpacticFuctard to make this online database engine happen. I'm not trying to speak for Joe, Adam or anyone else involved - truth be told, I have el zilcho to do with the guides - but if you can be a little more specific than "make it pretty" and "make it cooler" that'd be a big help. Especially if you can code it too, but just being more specific would help. :)
