Last night we had about a dozen friends over for drinks, snacks & some video game show fun:

Jeopardy (PS2)
Wheel of Fortune (Genesis)
WWTBA Millionaire (PS)

all on different TVs around the house. We encouraged everyone to play each game once, then recorded & totaled their dollar amounts. The top 3 winners got $20 gift cards to various stores. It was kinda fun to see them w/ controllers they've never had in their hands before! My wife took a few digital pix but none worth posting.

They all had fun & liked the idea. The girl who did the worst said we should do it again! (maybe for a better chance) Keep in mind these are total "non-gamer" people.

I'm surprised/glad it went over so well...

You should have the people try out MTV(s) Remote Control for the NES. That game is pretty good with 2 players. :)

That actually sounds like a pretty fun idea, only I would get bored with just those type of games after awhile.

That's awesome! I'm glad to see you break out the WOF for the GENESIS! I also do this with my friend and brother alot. Alot more during the winter months. Except we use games like Mario Party, Mario Kart, SSX3, Soul Calibur 2, and about 3 other ones.
Sounds like great fun!!!!!!!!

Believe me- some of them had never had any type of controller in their hands before. Fast action & button-mashing games were/are out of the question!

I hope to have generated some interest in gaming for them, though.
