Should I buy Metal Slug 3?

Alright I was at gamestop today, using my giftcards, and I start playing a metal slug 3 demo. The game was very fun, but it is worth it?

I paid $400CDN for my AES version, and it was worth EVERY PENNY.

Wahtever price it is on the Xbox, is worth it.

Great game, frantic fun, pretty hard towards the end, and tons of multiple paths through each level. Grab it.

Metal Slug 3 is one of the BEST games of all time.

There is no reason not to get it at $39.99

i am a big fan of the Metal Slug Series and would probably buy the game on whatever system for whatever price. I do understand why some people wouldnt like it though. If you enjoy games like Contra, Gunstar Heroes, or possibly even CT Special Forces (GBA you can get new for 14.99) you should check it out

Unless you don't own an xbox, there's no reason to not buy metal slug 3. It will definitely be one of the first games I get when I eventually get my xbox.

But I am definately buying Slug 3. But is it considered a beat-em-up? Sorry I don't know mcuh about Metal Slug. :embarrassed:

Not to sound like a smartass, but if you have to ask if you should get MS3, the answer is probably no. In all seriousness, this is probably the best Contra style run 'n' gun ever, and I don't think it'll ever be topped.

OXM has the MS3 demo. I don't think it hit the stands yet but I just got it as I'm a subscriber. The game's pretty cool.

As for Metal Slug 3, I haven't played that particular chapter in the series, but the Slugs I have played are fantastic shooters; if you like it, buy it, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

That's cool, like I said I'm hesitant to criticize anyone (especialy a mod), it's just that it seems that your comments came across as a little harsh. Don't want to start scaring away new members, you know? And if Metal Slug 3 is as good as everyone says it is, it would suck for them to miss out on it.
