Summer gaming plans?

Just wondering, what are your gaming plans/goals for this Summer(like getting a certain console or completing a game, ect)

Anyway here are mine...

Stuff to buy...

1.Get a mint/complete launch Genesis(the one with Altered Beast as a pack in game, and "High Definition Graphics" written on the top. Since my current Genesis died awhile ago. :( This is high on my list, because I want to get started playing SoR 2, NBA Jam:TE, VectorMan, ect. as soon as possible BTW: is it true the first model Genesis systems can play Japanese MD games?

2.Get a mint/complete NES ROB set off Ebay. I have always ALWAYS loved the NES, but I've never had my own(accept for one crappy one where the controller ports messed up)

3.Only if I end up getting a job(other wise I couldn't afford it), I would really like to get Panser Dragoon Saga.

4.Find a Japanese Dreamcast...

5.Of course buy lots of games! (duh)

Gaming Plans...

1.Get a Saturn multi-tap/some extra controllers and Saturn Bomberman. Then invite some friends over and let the fun begin.

2.Complete every GTA game ever made(including get 100% on GTA3/VC for both PS2 and Xbox)

3.Beat BattleToads with out cheating, I've never been able to do this :embarrassed:

4.Complete every game I own for one system(not sure which one yet)

5.Fix up my gaming room.

6.Get atleast 50 Saturn games.

And a bunch more I can't think of at the moment(still making the list)

What are your summer gaming plans/goals for this year?

These would be my gaming plans for this summer:

1.Beat all Final Fantasy games(including Tactics,Tactics Advance,excluding Final Fantasy XI)

2.Invite my friends over as much as possible and play DDRMax2.

3.Create my game room website(if I haven't done it before then).

4.Keep building up my NES game collection.

Those are my plans as of now. They can change at any time.

I bought this exact thing a few months ago. Launch genesis mint complete in box, an extra genny controller also mint in box and a bunch of games. Only cost like $50 which I thought was a good price because I really wanted one. Genesis 2s and 3s suck in my opinion, and I dont like that the later genny 1's didnt say "High Definition Graphics" on them. I also like not having to wait for the "Licensed by Sega Enterprises" screen.

Well I think that the main things I want to do this summer is make sure I hit the thrift stores regularly and try to go to a lot of garage sales. I want to build up my NES collection more, buy a power base converter boxed and get Syndicate for 3DO.

1. Playing Lunar: SSS, Siren, Lifeline, Final Fantasy XI, Resident Evil: Outbreak, Law & Order II, amongst unnamed-others.

2. Possibly moving my Room of Doom & Vidgame.net HQ to a new, larger, undisclosed location.

3. Updating Vidgame (which means playing with lots of my stuff!) and putting in fun new menus, pics, information, and pages.

4. Spending as little as possible while getting as much as possible.

5. Making an "nes" table (not out of carts though...it will be a display piece of it's own)

2. Specifically try to work on my NES and Odyssey 2 collection.

3. Based on how much money I make working: Pick up a boxed Neo Geo AES, pick up MVS carts that I don't have, and get the GBA NES version and all the rereleased GBA classic games.

4. Wait for my Mountain Dew XBox to come in the mail.

5. Play games in my free time.

1. I'm finally gonna buy a turbografx-16 with at least one bonk game.
2. I'm gonna beat every mega man game that I haven't already.

I have a project I started in the Spring where I am keeping track of all the games and collections I buy at pawns, fleas and garage sales. I will sell off a portion of them here and there. My main goal is to get as many games as I can for as little as possible buy the end of Summer. So if I buy an NES and 10 games a garage sale for $20 and sell the NES on eBay for $33 than I take the leftover and get more games. Total taken away from the familly budget is $0.
Right now I'm at a -$248 but I have a lot to sell.

I am also going to clean up my game room and organize it.

I want to reach 75 Dreamcast games.

I've not had a very active year in gaming so far, so maybe I should actually do something.

1. I need to get one of the launch Genesis systems as well, I WANT TO PLAY MY COPY OF ZANY GOLF!!!!!!!!!!!

2. I need to "refine" my collection a bit. After 30+ systems, and 1200+ games...I realized something a week or two ago. I bought a lot of crap! And there's no way in hell I'll ever get the complete collections that were my goal when I got into this hobby. So what I'm hoping to do (may start tomorrow) is go through everything, find the stuff I don't want...and try to wheel and deal for stuff I do want. Stay tuned.

3. I don't know how...but I want to get a Vectrex, and a Neo Geo system, those would complete my goal of systems I want to collect for...I had an idea for a contest inspired by a local radio show, but I don't think it would work too well on a message board. If you've heard of the "Pencil to a Porsche" contest you have an idea...if not, let me know, I'll explain.

Well, I was going to do it this month, but that got shot already.

As soon as I can afford to get my website up and running, I plan to categorize and photograph everything I have and start a database type deal where I keep track of everything.. price, where it came from, date, etc.

I also have a few other projects for the website once I get it up and running:

A Game A day in ______ (whatever month). Goal is to beat one game per day every day that month and archive that on the website.

I also plan to take a day off and document a 24 hour gaming marathon.

I want to finish building my metal DDR pad, since I miss playing it. My soft pad finally died after 6 months of my flopping around on it.

And finally, I want to see how much money I can make with $5. I plan to take a five dollar bill out on a thrift/pawn/yardsale run, and buy something video game related. Resell it (hopefully for more than $5), then take those profits, and continue. Maybe over the course of a few months, and see just how much I can make off the original $5. Of course I'll document that too.

In non game related stuff, my only major goal is to finish building my fishtank. I really want to get some clown fish or something equally as cool for my house since I'm allergic to everything else.

4. Get a Mega CD and 32x to replace the dead ones, and pick up Knuckles Chaotix, T-MEK, Sonic CD, Ecco 1/2 CD.
5. Beat all the above. ;)

Oh boy do I have plans.

1. My house is too small so I DONT have a ROOM of DOOM. I am a school teacher (computers) and they are buying new computers and desks in late July early August. So I'm going to take advantage of my empty classroom to unpack 35-40 large plastic containers and finally Categorize 29 years of video game collecting.

2. I plan to setup ALL my systems at once in my classroom so I can see what it would all look like.

3. I will finally take pictures a post a website of what I have! (Even I dont fully know the extent of my collection...Parts of it have been packed away for 15 years. Some of my purchases go directly to storage and are not played. I would say I have a least 100-150 unplayed games. I'm not even sure anymore how many systems I own.
