View Full Version : COTTON 2 FOR SATURN
I read someplace that Cotton 2 for Saturn is unique because you can play it disc only or with the help of the 4MEG RAM cart. I tried it and really didn't see a difference. I think I saw some slight differences but am not sure. I swear everything looks slightly cleaner and faster with the RAM cart plugged in. Can anybody confirm or deny this for me and the rest of the Cotton fans?

Personally when I played it I never noticed much if any differences when playing with or without the ram cart.

I noticed the differences in sharpness, you are not alone. There were actually two Cotton games released on the Saturn.. which one do you speak of?
Also, ever get the priviliage to play Rainbow Cotton on the Japanese Dreamcast? Wonderful game.

I think I noticed a bit more sharpness, too.
I states that it supports RAM carts on the back of the case and in the beginning of the game so it must do something, right? ;)

Well he mentioned Cotton 2 in the topic of the post so that is the game the person was asking about. Personally I thought Cotton Boomerang is better. I liked being to chose between different characters.
Personally I thought Rainbow Cotton was crap. :P

The changes are actually not graphical at all. Using the 4-meg cart allows for more voice samples during gameplay. Nothing too exciting.
Cotton 2 is more subtle and controlled than the manic remix that is Cotton Boomerang. Love them both.

Ah yes, the voice samples. ;) The MD version had some odd ones-- "Pwee!!!" and what sounded like "Pizza Bowl!!" and let's not forget "Tea-Time-u!!"
