what was the single most valuable videogame that you sold or traded?
Do you regret it?
Was it worth it?
or were you happy with the sale and/or trade?
I sold a MINT condition copy of PANZER DRAGOON SAGA along with my Saturn model 2 U.S. ver and my whole collection for DREAMCAST money before its launch now dont get me wrong the DC was worth every penny :D but DAMN I cant believe I left PDS in with all my other games when i sold my beloved Saturn :(

I haven't sold anything valuable. :P Once I get my paws on something valuable, I hold on to it forever. o_o
My boyfriend has seen a lot of rare games come and go, though. I know he bought and sold Dragon Ball GT Final Bout at least once (twice, I think). He only got about 35 bucks when he sold it, haha. That was back when it was relatively new, though, so it didn't have much value then. He doesn't care much that he got rid of it since the game sucks anyway. He also FOUND a Turbo Duo and Castlevania: Rondo of Blood when he moved into some new apartment building. The Turbo Duo met its sad fate to a falling TV. With nothing to play it on, he sold Rondo. He got more for it than Dragon Ball, but it was still nothing compared to what you can rake in on eBay for it now. He's also sold off plenty of SNES games, including RPGs.

I recently sold an NES Game Action Replay to a fellow member here for $50. I kind of regret it now that I saw it go for $200 on ebay, but whatever.
I knew it was going to erase itself anyway.

Sold Beatmania IIDX 4th Style for around $80. Don't really regret it cuz it's not as good as the rest, and that's what I paid for it, and it bought me a Pop'n controller.

I have many regrets:
Trading Psychic Assassin Taromaru ($220 game. Why didn't I check ebay?!?) + 4 other Saturn games for a LOOSE Turbo Duo System
Selling Keio Flying Sqaudron for $20 and trading my expensive Sega CD RPGs for some cheap 'crap' and a fake Coleco Protoype.

A few years ago, I'd say about 4-6, when I traded in shitloads of my NES games to funcoland for money for my DC + N64 things. I mean everything I traded in I regret because lost money on everything, and spent like 4 times as much getting it back.
But the games that stick out the most and really hurt were:
Mega Man 1-6
Dragon Warrior 3 + 4
Final Fantasy
I know there were a couple more that really stuck out but can't remember. I didn't get shit in trade in value for these games!!! Lost all kinds of money, but I was broke and needed new N64 things! (Like Zelda:Ocarina of Time)

Probably the rarest game I ever got rid of was a mint complete copy of Tactics Ogre for PSX. I saw it in a mom and pop store and bought it for the express reason of selling it on eBay, but just the same if I could do it over again I would have kept it. I know that isnt very juicy or anything but its the best I can do. I dont generally get rid of games unless they are doubles.

Rodland, Mr Gimmick, and Devil World, loose, and Trolls in Crazyland complete.
Unlike others, I can't say that it was a mistake. ;)

I once traded a girl a copy of Bubble Bobble 2 for Chrono Cross when it was new. My NES hadn't worked in years and I got the game in a bundle at a garage sale, bad trade in retro spect but I discovered later I liked Bubble Bobble 1 a lot better anyway and I now own that. So no I'm not kicking myself in the pants over it or anything.
Otherwise I don't sell my games, I've pretty much kept every game I've ever bought. Replaced a few that were in bad shape however.

Hmmmm...the most valuable console game I ever sold was a factory sealed Steam Hearts for PC Engine. I got $300 for it...don't regret it one bit. That game sucks.
As for most valuable EVER....I had a 2 player Joust pinball cocktail machine (in rough shape) worth about $2000 that I sold as part of a large arcade lot for $10,000, and so I sold the $2000 Joust machine for around $200 because I sold everything in a huge lot. I DO regret that. Coolest pinball game ever...VERSUS pinball...2 player simultaneous :( *sniff*

I think mine's pretty lame, lol. I sold a complete (sans overlays) copy of Diner for Intellivision actually just about 1 hour ago. R7's are the rarest I have in my collection, just a few. Kinda regret it since I only payed 5 bucks but bills needed to be payed and I had no system to play it on and it didn't thrill me much on emulation.

I buy and sell a lot of games, but most of them I sell are used and I get only average prices for them.
I've sold PC games for good prices -- FF7, FF8, Gabriel Knights Collection, Axis and Allies: Iron Blitz, King's Quest Collection (all of those for around $60-90) but I think the most I ever got a video game was $50.

I traded in "Final Fantasy 2" and "Shining Force" in at a local game store.
Do i regret it? No i dislike RPG's and i got them (cheap) for the sole purpose of selling them on Ebay or something. Since the market for FF2 wasnt so good it went towards "Sonic Adventure 2" and "Shining Force" netted me a Saturn Backup Cart"
Zero regrets for trading away those things.

I need to get mine to ebay quick!! I got mine for free and have never used it. I didn't think these went for so much X_x . Any input from some fellow users?

nothing ever leaves my hands unless its a double
i've traded off 2 copies of NES tengen tetris, no biggie there.
its not exactly a game but my biggest ticket item was a vectrex minicade that i auctioned off in the newsgroup for $700. of course it was a double, i used the profits to buy my PS2, cocktail arkanoid 2 and misc items. i dont regret it at all, in fact i'm oddly proud of myself for handling the shipping.

Holy crap! These things really went up in value since the last time I checked. Highest I ever saw them were $50-$60 loose. If mine still works, I think I'm going to put it up on Ebay soon before the battery dies and the cart is officially dead.

i sold about 100 sealed PSX titles( mostly RPGS, Shooters, and Fighters) for $2500. I regret selling a few of them but nothing i wont get over. I purchased my ticket to hellfest, an IPOD, and two plane tickets to Vegas with the cash so it was worth it.

Sold Panzer Dragoon Saga for £125, and don't regret it at all. I bought it for £70, and comlpeted it, and wouldn't have played it again. Sure, it looked nice on the shelf, but I desperately need to be safely in the black by the end of June, or else my bank are going to hammer me to the wall.
Sold a sealed Ninja Warriors for the Mega CD for £97 .. and I don't regret that either. I've had two copies now, and picked them both up for $15 - $20 each so I'm sure I'll get another one sooner or later. And now I even have a Japanese Mega CD that I can play it on when I do!
Mind you, I expect my Samba De Amigo PAL box set will overtake both of those when I sell it ... but I'm gonna be hanging onto it for a while. That's the one game I have spent the most money to get. So I'm gonna get my full enjoyment from it before it goes anywhere!

Well, if it's about under-selling stuff ...
I sold a Japanese Steel Empire for, I think, $20 including postage to some guy in the states before I knew what it was worth. It had no manual, but still .. at the time I thought I was cleaning up! I'd bought a bunch of Japanese shooters and sold the ones I thought were worth anything, and this guy emails me to ask if I have any more. So I listed the others to him .. I did wonder why he jumped on that one, I just figured it was my lucky day. I guess it was his!!
I don't mind too much .. I've had my fair share of bargains in the past, so I don't mind giving someone else one. But only once, mind :D

The most expensive video game thing I ever sold was not a game, but rather an element in a game. That's right, I sold my two story sandstone house in Ultima Online for a cool $300. The most expensive game I ever sold was my sealed copy of Iron Soldier III for NUON for $160...after purchasing it via a tip on this very board for $25. 8-)

:( :(
Back when I worked at Funco Land back in the day (the golden age before GOD DAMN Game Stop bought them out), I came across a Donkey Kong Competition Cartridge.
.........I needed some cash and put it on ebay, it went for $10.50; my very soul aches for death when I think of what a stupid move that was.
But I did sell a DBZ for psx on ebay for $250.00. No regrets there, that game sucks more ass than Superman for the Atari 2600.

When I was 7 I just gave away a copy of Qberts Cubes (2600) for nothing. I had no clue what it was going to be worth. I just didn't like it, and had a friend who did. Damn. Damn me to hell.

Though I rarely trade off the gems of my collection, about 10 years ago, I traded a copy of Tooth Protectors for a Vectrex console (which I didn't have at that time), not a bad trade but still was a toughie to find that one again. Luckily I did find one on Ebay about two years ago for a decent price.

I sold my copy of Snatcher for Sega CD (which i picked up in a used CD store mint for $10) for $90 about a year ago...I'm not totally regretting it since i used part of the money on my surround sound receiver but it definitely was one of the jewels of my collection that i won't get back for a while...definitely not selling anything else for a long time.
On the topic of things I should have bought -- my local EB (like 4 years ago) had 4 copies of Panzer Dragoon Saga for $20 each and 3 copies of Radiant Silvergun for about $30 each. whoops.

Traded a sealed copy of Suikoden II for the ps1 a while back (for 4 new Xbox games). Don't really regret it, never would have played it anyway.
