I went to a favorite store of mine, a record store which happens to sell used games from a gamut of systems, and saw behind the counter they had lonely looking sega CDX. I asked the guy how much it was, he looked around for a price, shrugged and said i could have the CDX system for $6.85. I was shocked, he didn't have the RFU but had the CDX specific PSU and a 6-botton controller. For some reason he kept insisting I take the GameGear battery pack claiming, "it just fitts." While this is true so dd any number of other paripherals strewn over the counter where the CDX had come. Anyway I was very excited to get such a deal, I bought a few cheap Sega CD games so I could play the thing at my girlfreind's house to tide me over until I get home.

Someone must have dumped off their NES collection here or something:
Zapper - $1.50
Marble Madness - $2
Super Mario Bros. 2 (Complete) - $2
Legendary Wings (Complete) - $2
TMNT (Complete) - $2
Operation Wolf (Complete) - $2
NES Toploader w/ two controllers and all hookups - $15
My wife is going to kill me, especially since it cost me two more bucks to get the money from a bank that wasn't mine, but I would have hated myself for passing up that toploader.

Mostly games the kids can play but whatever, they each add to the collection.
Bart vs the Space Mutants
Who Framed Roger Rabbit

DuckTales
The Fantastic Adventures of Dizzy.
I gotta sell some crap now....spent too much this week already.

What I got today was nothing really groundbreaking, but I was happy with the purchases:
NES:
Pro Wrestling - $4
Baseball Stars - $4
N64:
Starfox 64 - $4
Playstation:
Battle Hunter - $7
Playstation 2:
DVD Player Disc (v2.12) - Free (I couldn't resist...)
Also, while I was browsing, the owner of the store put out a sale: 4 PSOne's for $20. I think he really wanted to get rid of those things.

OMG. Game Dude. That is one hella great shop. My brother-in-law used to live in L.A. just a couple of miles from there and I would always make a pilgrimage to Game Dude whenever the wife and I went to visit him. Plugged some major holes in my Jaguar and Lynx collections shopping there, to say nothing of some awesome 2600 finds (but never a silver label Gravitar. I am most jealous. :frustrated: ) Awesome finds, leo.
BTW, did you know that VGLQ's (http://www.vglq.com) office/warehouse is more or less across the street from Game Dude? Went knocking on their door one day, but that's a story for another thread. :D
At the end, finally, my big find this week was a Super Joy III famiclone from Goodwill for $5. Not bad, but I like my Super Power Joy III better.

Since last October there has been a boxed and complete Acclaim Infrared Wireless Remote Controller for NES sitting in the electronics case at my local thrift shop. I've wanted it really badly but it had a $25 price tag on it which is more than it's worth. I have bugged them before to sell it to me for less because no one was going to buy it for that price. Well today I finally succeeded and got it for $15. Still probably more than it's worth but ive been pining for it for so long....

Today: Sega Saturn, with two games (Sonic 3D Blast and Virtua Cop 2), Stunner light gun and one standard (digital) controller. Complete, with hookups but no backup battery, for $40. And the guy at work who sold it to me is planning on finding a couple more games - if he can't, he'll give me five bucks back.
Side note - the Saturn takes a 2032 battery, right?

My finds this week were killer, in my opinion. I stopped by my usual thrift, and normally I buy a $2 NES game or something and go on my way, but yesterday, I went crazy. The guy had gotten TONS of SNES games for only $3 a piece. I snatched these games, and I'm going back for more today:
ALL SNES, ALL $3 each:
Mortal Kombat 2
Mortal Kombat 3
Justice League Task Force
Addams Family Values
The Death and Return of Superman
Toy Story
Spiderman and X-men: Arcades Revenge
Marvel Super Heros: War of the Gems
Rock N Roll Racing
The Simpsons: Bart's Nightmare
Wild Guns
Anyhow, I was just impressed, and I'm going to check out this thrift more than once a week now!
