Anyone else have a few certain titles you repeatedly find over and over?
And I don't mean the SMB/DH or the Combats.

For me I am constantly finding copies of Batman for NES. It like it's haunting me. I have a stack of like 12 here now, but Ive passed up countless many more.
Even weirder is how Basewars keeps coming across my path. Not just the cart, but utterly complete and pristine copies. Ones with poster / manual cards etc that look like the shrinkwrap had just been taken off.

Anyone else have any carts that constantly haunt (or reward) them?

It seems every time I find 2600 games there's a PacMan or ET.

Exactly. I've somehow ended up with about 6 copies of this myself.

That thing is everywhere.

As far as games that aren't quite so common though, it usually happens to me on the same day.

One day I can remember finding like 3 or 4 copies of Battletoads.. haven't seen any before or since.

Blades of Steel - NES - boxed copies also

Tetris - NES - Used to be I'd get this all the time, not that much anymore.

Basewars - NES - Why is there so many boxed copies?

Stadium Events - NES - I'm a damn liar

Rolling Thunder - NES - Ugh, not. another. copy!

I'm usually looking through the PlayStation sections the most but I swear every store I go to has multiple copies of Star Ocean 2 in stock. I've been so tempted to swipe myself a replacement manual. It's like the game's taunting me to do it.

I just about always seem to find copies of Vegas Stakes, NBA Jam, Top Gear and Super R-Type for SNES.

Ditto with Star Wars Episode 1 Racer and Perfect Dark for N64, and Ford Racing for PSX.

I feel like I'm having an annoying joke played on me in that I'll come across a game for the first time, so I'll snatch it up, but then later I'll come across tons of copies all in better condition. :/

As for particular games, I see Star Tropics a hell of a lot, and I come across an endless supply of Bayou Billy.

The Genesis seems particularly bad as far as coming across the same stuff over and over. I think that's part of the reason why my Genesis collection is only half the size of my SNES collection and a quarter of my NES collection.

I see bucketloads of Camerica and Konami games (NES). Other than the usual suspects, I'd have to say I've seen Jack Nicklaus Golf (NES) the most. I've passed up boxed/complete copiesatleast 15 times now.

Games I always see...

-Genesis Sports games, even a local Pawn Shop has tons and tons of these(some still sealed), and they have been there for years(probably always will be)

-Saturn sports games, Not quite as common as Genesis sports games, but I still see these everywhere(plus VF2/Daytona USA/Virtua Cop)

-Super Mario Brothers/Duck Hunt carts, I think it's the most commong game ever... Some kid even sold me one for .19 cents!

-Goldeneye(cart only) or Perfect Dark(cart only)

-Final Fantasy VII(GH)

-Just about any PS1 game(GH version)

EA Sports games indeed for the genesis. Other than that I've found quite a few copies of sonic 3 and sonic & knuckles lately. About 5 in the past week among different stores.

EVERY Place I ever step into has multiple copies of the Tomb Raider games, other than that and the common SMB games, not much else... I did find a bucketload of complete (with expansion pack) Donkey Kong Games for N64 lately....

Heh, I was gonna mention SMB...alright then. I haven't seen a single 2600 game at the thrifts; not yet.

I've seen two copies of Platoon, bought one. Crazy. Sonic 2... LOL

I dunno, I just don't seem to find lots of stuff.

Barring the obvious commons, nearly everytime I head out to a flea or yard sale I find at least one copy of Mutant League Football. They're usually loose though so I don't bother with them.

Loose carts of Vectorman and Pilot Wings plague my life.

I always seem to find multiple copies of the NES games Dragon Spirit, Dragon Warrior, and 720 every where I go. Doesn't matter if it's a flea, pawn or Gamestop.

Oh yeah, I have seen LOTS of EA sports games on the Genny, and lots of baseball titles (Tengen RBI games and others) on the NES. :/

Dunno why that is. I just see 'em. Lots.

NHL '98 complete for the Genesis. Not '95 or '96 or '97, but '98. I must've come across at least sixteen of those things in the past two years.

Like everyone else, I find complete Genesis sports titles everywhere (complete Gen sports games are bad, but loose Gen sport carts seem to be the lowest of the low on the “desirable” scale…whenever I end up with one, I know it will probably be in my collection until the day I die :D ). I’ve been seeing a lot of loose Track and Field II carts lately for some reason. Super Hang On and TMNT also have a thing for ending up in some of my “bulk buys”.

I know that Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt is a pretty common game, but this one pawn shop that I go to has probably 35+ copies of it just stacked on one shelf... you wonder where they get all those.

Add the aforementioned Genesis sports titles also. They probably have 35+ copies of that, too, complete or loose.

I picked up two of them (that was all that i could afford at the time... they were 21.99 Canadian each (but the store had a buy 2 get one free... so I picked up Bomberman: The Second Attack as my third game... so not all that bad of a deal i dont think... I dunno

Star Raiders for NES. I guess it catches my eye since I like the 2600 title of the same name so much. Maybe it's a sign that I should break down and buy one.
