I just want to say that nesuser2, also known as Mark, is a fine, fine gentleman. He was able to help a person with extremely limited computer skillz, get emulators and roms up and running on his XBOX. That person being me.

I can't stress enough how limited my PC Skillz are. I mostly use my computer to access the internet, and to mess with my digital pictures, a little gaming and that's about it. I'm really pretty clueless.

So the fact that nesuser2 was able to actually guide me to successfully getting my XBOX hooked up for Emulation was nothing short of amazing.

He took an awful lot of time and effort to help me out. I can't tell you how many emails went back and forth. With me asking some really stupid questions. At one point I almost gave up on trying to do it, but Mark kept telling me that it's easy and that I could do it.

For a long time I couldn't get my FTP program and my XBOX to communicate. We couldn't figure out what the problem was. So for several weeks we kept trying different things, and they didn't work. Then finally Mark suggested that I try disabling my dial up modem. Well, it turns out that this was all that I needed to do. Then finally I got my FTP program and my XBOX talking.

From that point it was pretty easy to get things up and running. Of course it was easy because Mark really helped me out big time. Mark actually sent me a guide that basically took me step by step through the process.

Then end result is that I know have a number of emulators up and running on my XBOX and it's a truly amazing thing.

So again, I would just like to thank nesuser2 (Mark) for being such a kind guy to take a little time out of his life and help a newbie like me out.

Thanks Mark!

Awesome Anthony, and thanks nesuser2! No one can know everything, and that's what we're here for -- to help each other out!

Well, he may have bitten off more than he can chew. I just bought an xbox about 30 minutes ago. I hope you saved all that information!

It's always good when you hear someone helping a fellow enthusiast out. I know Mark and he is indeed a good guy. Spread that knowledge!

Look what I dug up O_O and whom is this, so called, nesuser2? :embarrassed:

Anyways, the thanks is much appreciated Anthony. I did spend quite some time helping you out but it was time well spent.

I spend alot of time working with people and their pc's and I enjoy the challenge of a new project. Most people never get interested in FTP, so it was indeed a new challenge. Plus, what would have been learned had you send me your xbox? You would have learned what you already know, people will work for pay! Most people would rather do things for you than show you what's going on as well. Like they say, Feed a man fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime. Now you've got the resources at your disposal and with a little brushing up, you'll be back where you left off.

So, I want to thank you Anthony for being open to a new adventure. You really deserve more credit than you give yourself, I showed you the door...you chose to walk through it!

As well, Flack, you may want to see if Anthony has that disk laying around LOL because, by my calculations, I don't have that tutorial anymore. As well, I'm not sure how much it would help you...since last time I checked...you were the networking guy, which was a large majority of the tutorial. Feel free to PM me any questions though and I'll deal out all the cards I can!

Yeah, the networking part should be no problem (I've already got my Gamecube and PS2 running through my router). I'll get back to you as soon as the release the xecutor 3 (which should be pretty soon, from what I'm reading).
