Actually, pricing was announced. $10 per game. That was on gamespot.com's story. I thought it was absurd. Not to mention I see no reason to have Galaxian online. What purpose does that serve????

Well, I don't think the point of it is to play those games online. I think the point is that using XBox Live, you'll be able to download those games. So, for $10, you'll be able to download and own a legal copy of Dig Dug, for example.

It looks to me like Microsoft is following the online community. I think $10 might be a little high, but for people who aren't into emulation I think this might end up being pretty cool.

seems like a great idea, but i dont know about $10 a game......hopefully they will lower the cost by the time this idea actually becomes a reality ...and hopefully the games are tied to your live account and not just the hdd...so if you need to send your box in you can copy your live account and get your games back without having to buy them again.

Speaking of expensive. I just recently got the Xbox Music Mixer software, and they charge $10 frickin dollars to download 4 karaoke songs! What a croc!

If they get their pricing together then they may do well, but if they keep gouging people they can forget it. Btw, Phantasy Star Online is also a rip-off.

yea ten bucks is a bit steep here is how i would price

5 bucks for the classics that we all remember (pac-man, Asteroids, Defender, Robotron, etc.)

4 bucks for the near classics that some of us had a blast playing(Gyruss, Joust, Pengo, Mr. Do, etc.)

3 bucks for the cult classics (tron, DofT, Star Wars, etc.)

2 bucks for the lesser know titles (Tutankham, Reactor, Mr. Do's Castle, etc.)

1 dollar for the obscoure titles (Any Exidy title, Mystic Marathon, and Pac or Galaxian hack, etc.)

Griddle and Roby Roto are free and any title 1987 and later is double the price

Surprisingly there has been little that has been "Pay" in regards to content so far. There are some courses in Links 04 that you need to pay for, the Mech Assault expansion (the one with the new gametypes) that was 4.99, and I guess those Karaoke Songs for 4.99 too. Its been nice to not pay for all the additions to Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon, Unreal, Rainbow 6, and the stupid little extras that are out there for the other games.

If the prices arnt too bad and follow a pricing similar to what Gamemaster posted, id be in on most of them. And of course they'd better have online scores or theyd be useless.
