That price is pushing it, even for sealed.
RS is at a real low at the moment.

A few weeks ago I was the highest bidder on one for £62 (although seal was opened, natch).
8-)

Pressed Submit twice, sorry.
Still, while I'm on the Edit page... £62!

High bidder at £62? Did you meet the reserve? If you did, you're a lucky bugger. But then again, I can't speak. I just won a Samba De Amigo PAL box set for £62 :D

There's a RS on ebay at the moment and bidding is at £112 ... and it doesn't even have a spine card! So it all depends on the luck of the draw, as far as I can tell. Oh, and drbear always tries to sell his stuff for ridiculous prices. After they've been round a couple of times with no bites, he tends to bring them down a bit... don't know why he does it, because it must be costing him a fair bit to keep listing those bold titled items with high BINs!! By the time he's been whacked for listing fees a couple of times with no sale, he must have wiped out any profit he was ever going to make.

Perhaps he's just eternally optimistic. Me, I'm a cheapskate and only start my stuff a £0.99 because that's the lowest listing fee I can get.

The full and unfortunate truth: Reserve Not Met :(
But the fact that bidders backed out at £62 demonstrated his reserve (possibly as low as £62.01) was unrealistic...

No spinecard?
I was recently highest bidder on one like that: £58 Reserve Not Met

99p Start, yes. Listing fees have caused me to be to called StartTheBiddingLow

I know your pain!!! In general I don't even bother bidding on auctions that have a reserve price. And personally, I can't see the point of listing an auction with a reserve. I've only done it once ... and I set the reserve reasonably low (£45 for Metal Slug Saturn, mint with spine). That one went, no trouble.

Everthing else, I start at £0.99 with no reserve. My view is that if I want to make money on something, then it is my lookout to make sure I don't overspend on it in the first place!!

If there's a game I *really* want to try then I might bid over the odds for it, and then when I sell it on I just consider any loss as a "rental" fee. Seems fair enough. Especially since I don't ever acutally rent any games. Even if I wanted to, I couldn't - who rents Saturn / Megadrive games these days anyway? No-one ...

Hmmm .. perhaps I have spotted a gap in the market? Anyone want to give me capital to kick my fantastic business venture off? ;)
