If all games was complete, it probably finished over 2 grand.

Is it just me is that not a lot of games at all? In the descrption he says "All games produced for the system" but then goes on to list only a couple (ok 73 but still don't look like THAT much). And then in the pictures he throws in some NES boxed games as well. O.o

Are a bunch of those uber rare or something?

Bounty Bob and Meteorites are both pains in the asses to get. 73 for the total count sounds right.. he also included Haunted House II, which is a homebrew.

That is a pretty good amount of change to spend especially since most of those are loose. Now if Bounty Bob and Meteorites were complete, then it would have been a whole different ballpark, since I haven't seen those complete in forever and a day.

I think the buyer got a good deal on that. Whether they pay up or not is another story. Bounty Bob & Meteorites could pull close to $500 by themselves loose like that. A nice boxed system with working sticks and all, can easily top the $100 mark. Not to mention the other 71 games, @_@ Quite a number of them are in that somewhat hard to find range, often run in the $20-50 each start adding them all up and you could easily spend well over that amount acquiring a complete set piece by piece.

The Nes stuff was just in the pics, not included in the auction. I believe he shot pics from a shelf, and just had those sitting above the 5200 boxes.

And death star battle is pretty tough to find complete as well. That game would go pretty high too, I would think.

I think that the buyer ended up with a good deal. How often are you going to find every game made for a classic system all in one auction? Not very often. It would normally take at least several months or possibly years to get a complete collection for the 5200. When I went to finish off my 5200 collection I already had close to 60 games. It still took me several months to complete my collection and I already had Bounty Bob and Meteorites. I was willing to pay top dollar and I couldn't find some of the games anywhere.

Exactly what i'm thinking. It's not often that we said the buyer got a good deal on the YMEI forum.

The buyer also has 0 feedback, so the seller may never see their $1600 from this person.

The seller posted a message on AtariAge basically saying that the buyer was a scam artist and tried to rip him off. I guess the package is still available if someone wants to buy it.

well...looks like i was right with that one. these ppl that bid with zero feedback with no intent on buying really ruin ebay and it hurts anyone that is really interested in starting on ebay, but still has 0 feedback
