Is AC worth keeping?

I got AC for free a week ago (won it in a drawing) but I haven't been impressed with it so far. Granted I haven't played it much but Sims type game isn't my thing and AC is too much like a kid version of SIMs.

Is there a reason I should keep playing this game? I could take it in Funcoland or someplace like it and trade it for something I'd rather have (oh say... a Broadband adapter for GC:))

Well, if AC really isn't your type of game, then you should go and sell it for something that you'll like. It isn't because a game is liked by a lot of people that everyone will like it. After all, I can say a zillion times how great Tony Hawk 4 is, but someone who isn't into extreme sports games probably won't be interested by it, regardless of the game's qualities.
