I know about the games content, but I read something. It said that it would be rated AO. Is this true?

I'm not familiar with this game. Is it PC or console?

There's at least one post a month about this game, though most are:

Dooz, where da rom at yo?

It's a Playstation game and I woudn't be surprised if it would have been AO considering the screenshots, but it loks almost tame compared to Manhunt now.

If it's console, then I'll guarantee it won't be AO. No console game has been. And if Vice City wasn't enough for AO, then I don't know what is.

I mean, VC was filthy. Not the violence, as that wasn't much worse than GTA3, but the sex. I mean, you basically watched a girl ride on a guy. You just didn't get to see the guy, or any of the girl's private parts. Plus, one of the missions was called "Dildo Dodo". Tell me that's not AO material?

I honestly believe that Sony/Rockstar slipped the ESRB some money to get VC an M rating to help them avoid controversy.

I was under the impression that the A/O rating was used exclusively for full-on pornagraphic games.

Not that it's an issue, as Thrill Kill was scrapped years ago and there's only protos floating the net, so it will never get an official rating. Still generates a healthy amount of conversation for a dead game.

I may be wrong, but I remember something about it almost having an AO rating.

Just before it was scrapped, the developers were told to take some stuff out I think (Such as the chick rubbing herself and moaning I believe) in order to make it a less severe rating.

It was originally "threatened" with an AO rating, but Paradox removed some of the more risque elements to bring it down to an M. All of which was in vain since EA gained control of the property and opted to cancel it rather than release it due to it's violent content.

Truth be told, the game wasn't that violent. More hype than anything. Nowadays the game is quite tame with titles like Postal 2 and Manhunt around.

Thanks. I never knew that VC was threatened with an AO rating. Also, the so-called 'protos' have an AO thing printed at the bottom. But, this game is getting old. Time to file it under the "Worn out" topic........if it existed.

Ah, this game stinks anyways. Any gore or violence in the game gets completely overshadowed by how laughably bad the game is in the first place. The game mechanics are poor and the characters (and their moves and fatalities) might as well have been designed by 8 year olds.

The only things this game ever had going for it in the first place were the shock value and the hype. Go play Power Stone 2 instead.

That is awesome! How much did it cost?

I would be interested in finding something like this, not so much for the game itself, but just for the fun of making my friends think it's real, and just to say I have it. ;)

It's easy to print up labels and disk art like your 'proto' above. Hell, I've done it with almost every single Back-up copy that I own. I hope you didnt pay too much.

Thrill Kill is a novelty at best these days. The files are easily found on the net and the game, IMHO, is a waste of time after about 10 minutes. It had an interesting engine for those days, but the hype is much more than the game itself delivers on.
