I know E3's not over just yet, but does anyone else get the feeling that we're not gonna get any news on this game?

I completely lost interest after the 50th delay or so. :roll:

Well damn, where did they hide that article? I was just at IGN looking for Fable stuff earlier.
Oh well, thanks for the link.
I'm hoping that all the delays are just making the game better, but they are starting to get old.

Delays don't bother me much. Even though I'm really looking forward to Fable it's not like I don't have other games to play in the mean time.
Besides the more time they take, the more badass the game will be. (:

I'm worried about one thing, though. Normally, when a game is delayed, I think "no big deal, they're just making it better."
Except, there were some pretty hefty promises attached to Fable. "Greatest RPG ever"? It could very well be. But part of me wonders, are they holding this game off to make it better, or because they know it won't live up to the hype and they're floundering, trying to fix it.
I dunno, I guess I'm just being negative tonight... ^_^;

I doubt it'll be the greatest RPG ever, but it should be a good game. That's all that's important to me anyway.

As development has progressed for the game they've begun to realize that they cant implement all the stuff that they wanted to. No more multi-player, and some of the other options have been taken out.
I think that the Fable creators were like hmmm what would be cool to do in an RPG. Multi-player? Check. A huge totally modifiable world (remember the eat a fruit, drop the core and a year later there would be a tree there that contined to grow anaolgy)? Check. Wanna completely control your destiny; your actions will control the script of the game. Im good/Im Evol/nope back to good again? Check.
They got themselves in real deep. Its gonna come out, and unless they done did real bad, there will be some sweetness to it just beacuse its so massive. Hell Morrowwind was cool, and 2 minutes into the game, you can start to do whatever the hell you want to openness (ive never seen that in an RPG before).
But I dont think that adding all this time will necessarily make it all that much better. Look at Tomb Raider AOD; even after mutiple delays, they pushed it cause they needed the fisical year revenue that the game would generate for Eidos. Eventually the developers for Fable are going to need some money to come IN, rather than out.

The people who made Tomb Raider were franchise whores. Peter Molyneux and his crew at Lionhead are anything but. Believe it or not, good games actually do take some time to complete (wonder of wonders!). Contrary to popular belief, there are no people who can speak in 0s and 1s to the computer to speed up the coding process.
The only place where extra time won't help is in the case that the game designers are idiots, and with Molyneux at the head we know that's not the case.
What sux, though, is that it's an Xbox-only game. I want to see Fable on PC.

I heard during all the delays they took some key elements out, like how a character reacts to certain weapons...before it was you could use any weapoin, and the more u used it, and how u used it determined how good u are with it, but i heard thats gone and its a skill point system....how original =.- but anywhos fable is still gonna rock

A late game is late once. A crappy game is crappy forever. They can take all the time they need as far as I'm concerned :)
