View Full Version : Are these considered rare or worth money?

Now I'm more of a gamer then a collector, but from now on I plan on never selling off any of my games like I've done in the past. I certainly don't have a huge collection like other people here, but I've just started keep what I got I guess. My IGN game collection list is http://users.ign.com/collection/Lord007

What I'm wondering is rare or not is my collection of Sega DC Mag. Demo Discs, I'm only missing 3 I think for the complete collection, should I look for the rest?

I have a SegaNet Scooter I won during a Quake III DC Sega Tournament, it also came with some Sega T-Shirts...I don't think you can by these anywhere.

Also a Coleco Telstar Alpha, which I'm not even sure how to use.

I don't think I have any rare games for any of the multiple systems I own...maybe Bible Adventures or the R.O.B. for NES but that isn't THAT rare.

See anything on my games list that stands out? Probably not, but I'm having a hell of a time playing NES and Genesis games...PS2 hasn't been turned on in weeks LOL All of my systems are fully hooked up to power strips/TV/Stereo system all on my giant entertainment center, so basically no system is sitting in the closet collecting dust.

I'm about to order the DP Collector's Guide too, can't wait to go to yard sales/flea markets!

Sounds like you've been bitten by the bug -- and at a great time, too! With spring and summer comes flea markets and garage sales, two great places to begin your collecting quest!

That SegaNet Scooter sounds like it might be a one of a kind type thing. Make sure you write down all the documentation about it (when and where you won it, who made it, etc). That kind of stuff will make an item much more valuable in the future.

The DP Collector's Guide is your friend.

I wouldn't worry too much when you're starting off about rare and or valuable titles... we all started out that way, and in time, when your bank account is regularly bone dry, you'll have some things to show for it. ;)

I'd say the rarest game you own is Syd of Valis for Genesis. I think? But that Sega Scooter sounds pretty cool too...

Isn't a complete, functioning ROB somewhat rare?

Well I took pictures last night of the SegaNet Scooter...but forgot to upload them to the net. I'm at work right now, so I'll post the pics in a couple hours.

I forgot to add that I also have an Official Sega Dreamcast Carrying Case, I saw in another post that they had it under "Rare Items" O_O Is it really considered rare? How much would one go for if sold?

Ok, here's the pics...Sorry for the super-crappy image quality. I didn't know about the EyeToy Webcam thing yet. (The EyeToy quality blows away my dumb digicam!)

Two shirts I won too:

Can't really make it out, but its a shot of a couple Quake III players on the back of the 2nd shirt:
