Anyone used to have this c64 game or even know what to do in it?

That game is great. Hmmm what to do in Below the Root? Explore. It's kind of like one of the original action/RPGs. Talk to everyone wander round the trees, learn things and eventually go "Below the Root." This is by far my favourite C64 title and my most desired candidate for a remake.

I had this one on the Apple II, and it was quite a game - you'd get sucked into spending hours with it before you realized how much time you'd spent on it. Lovely stuff.

I used to have this for the c64 when I was a kid...never quite 'got it" though.

Explore the amazing world it creates, interact with other characters, explore with different player-characters, eat all thewissenberries you can find (okay, that's a lie). I had this one for the Apple II as well and the freedom it offered is still pretty amazing.
