yea, i dont bid on $1 auctions without pictures...let alone something that the seller is trying to get $1000 for....thats just crazy

Maybe the seller was trying to list the model number "HP3000" ?

For a thousand dollars you should be able to get a complete set of vectrex hardware (3D glasses and light pen boxed) and at least 10 boxed games.

When i was in this cool little retro-gaming store in japan they had a boxed(i beleive it hadnt been opened) Vectrex for 1500 dollers(american).

I have seen boxed systems on ebay go for a few hundred dollars. Definitely not worth $1000 even if it is unopened. It's kind of hard to tell the condition of the Vectrex for this auction because there are no pictures. Also there are no money back guarentees if not completely satisfied and the seller does not offer insurance. I wonder what the reserve price is?


You should definitely expect to pay more at a store, but $1500 seems ridiculous to me.
