Apparently we haven't come as far as I thought in the last 20 years. The new GBA DK omits the conveyor belt screen and the intermissions. Thanks Nintendo!

The reason it doesn't have all those is because it is an exact port of the NES version, which was also missing all those things.

True that. I still don't get the logic behind it though. Why not give us an emulated version instead? Or at least port Donkey Kong Classics which also included DK Jr.

Yeah.. it's pretty much b.s. There's no reason why we can't have a nice portable FULL Donkey Kong (or heck, even one on the NES). But once they announced it as a port of the NES version.. we all knew it would be the same crap
And yes before anyone chimes in I know about GB/SGB Donkey Kong.. I've beaten it a zillion times. I just want the actual full ARCADE Donkey Kong because they are NOT the same :)

Because Nintendo can, instead, put each of those games on carts and you can pay $40 for a pair of NES Mini titles.

Or you could buy a GBA Flash Cart and play almost all the NES games for free. That's what I would recommend. I have Donkey Kong Classics on my card with about 120 other NES titles right now.

But the sound of Mario walking is off. And not all NES titles work.. esp 3d-ish ones. Still though it's great, and I personally dig it a lot :D But that being said, it's still NES 3 screen Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr. :(

I have this old weird DK game on my C64 which I've had since I was about 4...
It's just called KONG
According to the instructions you played this guy named Bruce or somebody... either way it wasn't Jumpman or Mario, and you had to rescue Fay Ray from Kong. It has all 4 arcade Donkey Kong screens, shaved down to C64 quality of course, and for some reason the didn't slant the floors in the first stage, they're all parrallel.
That was really my first DK. So now when I play the REAL DK they always throw me off! (but are still fun of course!!)
