Take it back. I think they give you 90 days on hardware to return it (used at least). Personally, on disc-based systems, unless it came from a personal friend of mine, I NEVER buy used hardware. There's too much room for error, and what works great for a week won't for the rest of the month all the time. I'd throw another 20 or so bones at Gamestop and get a new one. But that's me.

i would just take it back and get a new one. like was said above...you cant trust preowned systems ... let alone disc based systems.

Well, MY GC was used and it's been running great since I got it almost two years ago. :P

My XBox is used also, although I've only had it for a month.

TAKE IT BACK ASAP.

I remember a time period, back in 2002 I believe, when tons of Gamecubes stopped wokring for no good reason. This must be one of them.

I've had my cube since launch day, and the only time that it hasn't wokred was the one time when my dog knocked it off of its little table. But I picked it up, cleaned off a few scuffs, and it played perfectly again.

Needs a laser adjustment.

NOT for the feint of heart.
