Which new console to get???

gamecube has by far the best exclusives IMO, i'd go with the cube.

I say GC or XBox are good bets. Both systems have some great exclusives coming out now and in the near future. For games that are released on all systems the GC and especially XBox versions tend to look a little better than their PS2 counterparts. Played the Panzer Orta demo tonight and enjoyed it. Basically just a visual update to the original but if you liked the original you'll love the way this looks and plays. Also had a chance to play Unreal Tournament and man that game looks sweet. Mech Assault is pretty cool too. What I really like about the GC is that they seem to be attempting to release some really original titles. A lot of genres are getting really stale and Nintendo seems to be attempting to break outside of the typical.

This isn't so much which one you should get, it is which one you can eliminate from the three (PS2, XBox, and 'cube). I finally got an XBox within the past two weeks and I can officially say that I was very much impressed. I had a 'cube from launch and I love it.

I was not so sure about the XBox as the games all seem to be in the same genere and I had heard nothing but s**t about the controllers. The new XBox bundle with two games and Controller S is the way to go! I love my Gamecube, don't get me wrong. The XBox is really so much more capable than the others, hard drive, your own soundtracks (on certain games) and Halo! I am a classic gamer since the Atari days and have never liked the shoot 'em, beat 'em type of game..but Halo is impossible not to love. I have been fortunate to be an XBox Online Beta tester and I can tell you that XBox live is very sweet!

Anyway, the PS2 has no appeal to me whatsoever. The 'cube and the XBox are by far the better choice. The PS2 is obsolete compared to these two systems.

Trust me!

Get the XBox bundle and save you pennies for a 'cube. They are both great systems!

OK, I'm sure this has been covered a million times already, but I wanted to post this question because of all the new games coming out in the next couple of months.

I'm thinking about getting one of the new consoles, but I haven't decided which one. I think that the deciding factor is which console has the best exclusive games for it. The video quality , price, and controllers for all pretty close as I see it. There are a couple of exclusive games for each console that seem really cool. Here's a few that I can think of that are already out or soon to be released:

XBox:
-Halo (of course)
-Panzer Dragoon Orta (I think this is going to be an exclusive)

PS2:
-GTA:VC

Gamecube:
-Metroid Prime
-That X-wing fighter game looks pretty cool too

What are some other good exclusives?

GC has Super Mario Sunshine and Starfox Adventure, and coming soon is Zelda as well.

Does anyone have one of those Panasonic Gamecubes, the "Q", from Japan? They look sweet...too bad about the cost though ($400!).

for ease of finding games on the cheap.. ps2 games are already dropping to under $10.00 for some used titles out there..
