Nope, I have the 220. I would maybe contact someone at the CD-i site that you linked to. Unless it's no longer run and simply still available for info. Other than That I dont know. The CD-i is an asset to any collection, however.

Here you go, Bill. Because I lover you.
Incidentally, I'd recommend this model highly, it is THE ultimate CD-i player in my opinion. The Philips portables are nice because the screens are bigger but this guy is truly portable, with the battery and much sleeker size.

Well, i went ahead and bought one. It came in the mail today. Its SEALED X_x . I paid $60 shipped. And I'm VERY happy with it. The guy said he had 15 more, all sealed. Anybody interested? I'll send you his email address.

Yes yes. I could use the email address, I mean. o_O
:D!!!
I would love to buy at least one of these in the near future - two if I could find one opened. I hate opening new classic game systems - in fact, I've never played a game that came sealed, or a game system that came new (atmittedly I've only had one of these so far, but I could open the box and take the unit out without damaging any packaging, heh).
The Philips model is likely to remain my favorite, but I must admit to being swayed by the bag and two batteries, among other things (like a remote and trackball controller). That said, my current unit's apparently got problems with the drive so I would welcome getting a new one.
So what do you guys do with these? :) Besides collect them.

Hi Bill -
Yep, I still have some Sony's left! They're going kind of fast though (hurrah!), I'm about to ship 20 of them. I have about a dozen left.
thanks!

That question was so good that it left me staring at the screen for nearly ten minutes. What DO I do with these? I blinked and went off to do a little research.
THE CD-i's AT DIGITAL PRESS HEADQUARTERS
subtitle: The Things that Wouldn't Leave
Casual glancing about DP HQ shows that there is an abundance of CD-i material in the atmosphere. The irony is that there is very little CD-i gameplay in the history of this fine place, neither during solo research projects such as this nor when there are guests present to enjoy the thrills of multi-player gaming. And yet, right there, under the Xbox, right alongside the bigscreen TV, is a Philips CD-i 910 - a huge clunker of a thing. Why is it there?
Well before the days of DVD, this "thing" was used to play VCD's on the bigscreen, primarily. Great for that quick rip of game commercials, anime, or porn, direct from internet to TV. Naturally my NUON, sitting proudly atop the rack of audio-video equipment, manages this now. The CD-i 910 has narrowly escaped re-location many times, but its huge size and ability to support the weight of other systems atop its bulky frame has kept it somewhat usable. And yeah, you can even play CD-i games on it.
A quick glance behind the living/gaming area reveals the infamous Room of Doom and wouldn't you know it? A CD-i 350 "portable" sitting atop a cabinet, proudly displayed next to a rare Vectrex Minicade cabinet. Now surely this has no right to be here. Well surprisingly enough, it has a rather important purpose. During DP's public events (known 'round town as "NJ Classic"), this particular model runs Starcade episodes. Kind of a fun backdrop not only for the visuals but also for the classic arcade sounds you'd hear through most of those shows. And yeah, you can even play CD-i games on it.
Hmm. That seems to be all there is down here, but correct me if I'm wrong, isn't there ANOTHER CD-i sitting on a dresser in the upstairs bedroom? What the heck...?
Upstairs is the office, where msot of the research is done, and in the adjoining bedroom (known 'round town as "Room of Doom II") much of the photos and research is done. There are two TV's with a multitude of wires connected to mainly hidden 8-bit consoles. Atop one of the bedroom dressers is TV #2, and alongside it, a Sony CD-i IVO rests. It doesn't look like a CD-i, and it doesn't even really do the things that CD-i does best as it doesn't have or support the digital video cartridge, but it does the job with the early CD-i titles and sure enough, the collection of CD-i titles is nearby in the giant CD spinner. So we'll call that one the DP "research model". And yeah, you can even play CD-i games on it.
So what do you guys do with these? :) Besides collect them.
I hope this sufficiently answers your question.

Thought I'd drag this back from the dead since I bought one.
Does this model do Vcd "as is" ?
Or do you have to do something to play VCD's ?
Also where can you get batteries for it ?
Thanks one and all. :D

Does this model do Vcd "as is" ?
No. It doesn't support digital video at all.
Or do you have to do something to play VCD's ?
Sadly, no. In fact, it won't play any of the CD-i games that require a digital video cartridge.
Also where can you get batteries for it ?
I thought this was a standard camcorder battery but now I'm not sure. Mine says NP-77. Maybe you can look that part number up in Google or on eBay.
