Kaboom for atari 2600

Does anyone remember there high score with this game? Two of my friends and I are having little contests right now to see who gets the highest score

just last week i got 3678 with the small buckets. good enough for 10th place on AtariAge's high score club :)


though that was miles away from Todd Rodgers score, he nearly maxed it out :o

what do you need to hit the bucket brigade?

the last time i was doing this i swear it was easy to get a patch.


been a year or so, i know you wanna miss a bomb on the fast run so it slows you up again for a better score, man i really forget, i need to look into this asap.

Score 200 points (according to AA) anyhow).

in the original you had to score 3000 for a patch


Activision Anthology was made easier because the game is virtually unplayable with self-centering analog sticks

Getting the patch for Kaboom is fairly easy as long as you're using the large buckets. Getting 3,000 points with the small buckets is a lot more challenging. Todd Rogers was able to get 960,001 with the small buckets just last week. A number of people have managed to roll the score, but I'm not aware of anyone actually rolling the score with the small buckets (although I'm sure Todd would be able to do it).

By the way, if you get 10,000 points, the Mad Bomber will get a "surprised" look on his face.

Greetings fellow gamers

For the record NO ONE and i repeat NO ONE has rolled a score on Kaboom. Unless there is a modified Hack out there that im unaware of the game maxes at 999,999. It doesn't have the six "!!!!!!" exclaimation marks as in Laser Blast or River Raid so the max score reads 999,999 not 1 Million.
