What's your favorite Harvest Moon game?
Mine would be Harvest Moon 64/Back To Nature. The new games.. just aren't as fun. They're much more boring.
What's your least favorite?
My least favorite is Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland. Like I said, the newer ones are crappier, but this one is just terrible.
Although, I haven't played Friends Of Mineral Town, but I don't think it could get any worse than that.

So What your favorite and least favorite Harvest moon games?
There are some Japanese only Harvest moon games, but they don't count.:(

Nothing beats the original. I haven't enjoyed the series since.

Haven't tried the newest Cube one, and would like to, but not without a Cow plush, so I can wait.

The original captured my imagination. The 64 one just didn't measure up.

The PSX version is the only one I have ever played, so I declare it to be the best!!!

I'd have to say that Harvest Moon 64 is my favorite, though I also really like a wonderful life for the GCN. Save the Homeland is definitely the worst.

The last HM I played was the 64 one, so that one's just my favorite.

I really like FoMT and have gotten really bored in AWL. But those are the only 2 I've played.

I've been thinking about buying the GBA harvest moon...friends of mineral town or whatever...Does anyone have any specific thought on it? I really liked back to nature; will I like FoMT?

My favorites are:
1. Harvest Moon 64
2. Harvest Moon (snes)
3. Harvest Moon Save the Homeland

My least favorite is Havest Moon 3 (GBC)

I have yet to play either Harvest Moon for the regular Gameboy or A Wonderful Life.

Jibbajaba: Friends of Mineral Town is like Back to Nature Remixed. Minus the loading times, if you loved Back to Nature you should love FoMT. Or be annoyed that it's essentially the same game.

Pretty much the same as the original with some minor improvements. Most of them let you plant crops in the fall, and 64, Back to Nature and FoMT let you plant in the winter if you have a green house.

Friends and Nature let you play indefinately as long as you meet some basic goals before the end of four years, while Save the Homeland is incredibly short but lets you restart the game with all your money and seeds intact.

The two gameboy games don't have marriages.

Havest Moon 3 GBC features two farmers, you can either play as the boy who likes crops or the girl who likes animals. They CAN get married but won't have kids.

Save the Homeland is the odd duck of the series, you can not get married and the game revolves around achieving 9 different goals or endings. You can ride yopur horse in town. And there are no festivals.

Is it just me, or did FoMT have some really messed up english? Overall, I felt like it was really just rushed out the door. I prefer the older gameboy verison.

I have the latest Gamecube HM and even got my cow, but it just hasn't pulled me in like all the other previous HM. :/

oh well, i still have Milkers :D

It did have a LOT of typos, but eh... the way I type I hardly notice anymore. :P

Well, since I've only played three Harvest Moon games, this should be rather easy.

Best: Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life for the Gamecube. IMO, it needs to be added to the poll option.

Worst: Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland for the PS2.

AH!!! WHAT HAPPENED!!! I KNOW I put A Wonderful life. I KnOW IT! Ugh.

Anyway, another difference in 64/Back to Nature, is that you can get married and have kids :-D

as a first gen PS2 game I found thePS2 HM to be the worst in story and feel.

The best was the PSX verson followed by the SNES.

I love the PSX-HM.
And I hate the GC-HM.
