This is the new programming schedule for the former TechTV Canada, which will become G4TechTV on May 28. Unfortunately, no Starcade... (is it still going to be aired in the States? Do you guys think it's worth getting it (we're about to make some changes to our digital cable choices anyway...)?

It's interesting how G4 went from being a regional US cable network to one that covers North America as a whole...

This is what they've got on the official site so far:

http://www.g4techtv.com/

(not much information at the moment, unfortunately)

I'm kind of pissed that they're still carrying X-Play. That show's motto should be: "People you don't like, reviewing games you don't like, on systems you don't like." Would it KILL them to stop drooling over the latest overhyped nonsense for the Playstation 2 and give the Game Boy Advance some coverage for once?

They have covered GBA games, a lot of times.

There's just not a lot you can do in a 22 minute show.

You've got a funny definition of "a lot". The ratio of Playstation 2 to Game Boy Advance reviews is extremely lopsided, especially when you consider the number of GBA units sold. There are more Game Boy Advances out there than XBoxes or GameCubes, and nearly as many as there are Playstation 2s.

The system deserves more respect than it gets from X-Play. The show very rarely reviews Game Boy Advance titles (just look at http://www.techtv.com/xplay/reviews/archive/ for proof) and when it does, it's always with a heavy dose of condescension.

If space is at such a premium, they could easily make more by getting rid of the moronic sketches which inevitably make Adam Sessler look like an imbecile and inflate the ego of his useless excess baggage sidekick Morgan Webb. It's gotten to the point where I expect the two to fight over a sign that reads "Sessler Season" on one side and "Webb Season" on the other.

X-Play is weak. If G4 were smart, they'd bring back Extended Play and hand Morgan Webb a pink slip, but alas...

You know, if you don't like X-Play, you don't watch it. I hate Judgement Day because it sucks, and the hosts are wimps and hate any game with any difficulty. Thus, I don't watch that trash.

I like Sessler, and I like Webb. They amuse me. Their skits amuse me. The show I like, because most of their reviews, match my own feelings on the games.

Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb are babbling morons. While I wouldn't turn Morgan away, she's not as uber-hot as a lot of folks make her out to be, and Sessler's just a bumbling cunt. A bumbling cunt who really digs Sly Cooper (which excuses him for some of his bumbling), but a cunt nonetheless. The "humor" is so off the mark and just plain inexcusably bad, you'd think it was written by US intelligence, or at the very least interns for the current SNL. I'm not saying I could do better, but...wait...given the same budget they get I could definitely do better. The only reason it's still around is because (at least up until the merger) it was the only video game show around.

I like X-Play, there aren't many shows that even bother to review games, so I'm happy it's there at least.

You mean, despite it being the highest rated program on TechTV since it went from being Extended PLay to X-Play? x_x
