It sounds like every KB-Toys except the ones I've visited are like indoor flea markets with all kinds of long-discontinued games and systems. What have you spotted recently? I may travel a bit this summer -- Maybe I should stop at a few of these branches.

Mine unfortunetly does not have much. Hidden in a corner where they push their go back carts you will find a smattering of Dreamcast, PS1, and N64.

Nothing.
Not a god damned thing.
And it pisses me off.

The one near me still had a ton of PSX "Long-Box" sports games for $49.99 each. I'm not sure if this counts as an old game, but they also had about 10 copies of Pokemon Puzzle League (N64) for $54.99.
Now there was one near me that closed about 5 years ago. I stopped by during their last week of business and bought tons of old games and accessories for pennies on the dollar. Virtual Boy, NES, Jaguar, 2600, Intellivision, Tiger handhelds...
I had been at two which had stuff. One had copies of Star Tropics/Star Tropics 2 and the other had lots of Game.com stuff and Punch Out. However, this was probably 3 or 4 years ago and I have not been in one of those stores since.

Sigh....that would have kicked serious ass. I have never found anything but current gen games at all the Kaybee's near me.

So exactly how much were the old games you got there and what ones, how many were there?

The ones around my house don't have anything old, but I have found some good deals at the one that are clearing out their inventories. I picked up a new copy of Dark Cloud 2 for $15! They also had a copy of Parrappa 2 for $10 (though I heard it's supposed to suck). There were some other good deals too but I don't remember specifically what games there were.

It's been awhile, but I remember buying a ton of those Sega / Tiger Pocket Arcade LCD handhelds, featuring Sega licenses such as Virtua Fighter, Virtua Cop and Panzer Dragoon. They were $9.99 and rang up at $2.49 after discount.
The Atari games were all part of the "$49.00 Re-Release" thing. Nothing especially rare. Most were marked all the way down to $0.99 and rang up at $0.24 with the discount.
The Intellivision games were all commons. About half were in the original "book-style" boxes, the others were in normal boxes, like the Atari games. Also like the Atari games, they were marked at $0.99 and rang up at $0.24.
I'm not sure of the actual titles of any of these games. They've been packed up in the basement for the past 5 years or so.
I nabbed about 5 Virtual Boy games, with the only one I remember being Wario Land.
I found a few Jaguar games. I don't remember the titles. I also found a few composite AV cables that I sold on eBay and used the money to pay for my Dreamcast on launch day. :rocker:
I got WWF Royal Rumble for SNES for a couple of bucks. I remember being pissed because I had just payed 10.00 for a used copy on eBay. Note that this was at a time when everything with the WWF logo on it would sell for a shit-ton. I still have a bunch of WWF action figures that I never got a chance to sell before their popularity died out.
Most of the NES games were in plain white boxes with the manual, dust sleeve and styrofoam. In fact the only two that weren't in white boxes were Dragon's Lair, which was factory sealed and Jack Nicklaus Golf, which looked to be re-sealed. I do remember one of the other games being Zoda's Revenge.
Well, that's it. :)

Same here. I picked up "Vectorman 2" for $4. I also remember them having a Playstation trackball there for the longest time.
They never really offered much there in the past except back in 2000/2001 they had "Jungle Strike" & "Urban Strike" strike there for $5 a piece
Those were must owns.

What I've seen at different stores:
-At a visit to a closing store on it's last day of business, everything in the store was gone. Except for the contents of a basket out in the front of the store, which contained, among other things, a bunch of loose Genesis sports titles (the only ones I can remember were College Football '97, some EA NHL title, and College Slam). That's gotta be a "WTF?" if I ever saw one. LOL I don't remember the exact price, but they were definitely overpriced.
-Every KB I've seen, has at least one third party N64 peripheral in clearance, usually RF switches.
-Another closing store had longbox PSX titles at $4.99. Quite a few copies of Descent, and some sports stuff I can't remember. They also had the mandatory third party N64 stuff, and some shitty-looking third party Dreamcast controllers.

The two outlets around here only have Dreamcast stuff. Lots of Seaman, still full price.
The store that closed down had a bunch of N64 games, but the were still $55 so about $20 after discount....still too rich for my blood.

The closest one to me is a mall store, so they have nothing old. There's one of those KB Closeout type stores nearby, but a semi-recent trip there provided very little in terms of gaming.
There used to be a KB a few doors down from the Gamestop I work at, they always had older stuff, like long box PSX games, Genesis, and Game.com stuff. I remember them clearing out Genny 3 systems and Virtual Boys for like $10-$20.
