Got up and found someone had uploaded an Alpha onto my FTP this morning of... DOOM III.. Seems an Alpha was leeked last night.

Since its just an Alpha it probably plays like crap but hey make it available to the masses. We won't tell! Please. 8)

It actually runs really well.. frame rates are 40-50 on a gf4 ti4200 128meg (though 640x480 lol) It seems this is the same package that was used for E3 and Quake Con 2k2 but you can actually play it not just watch a demo run on the engine. Thing is, if you don't trigger events in this alpha none of the mobs move around or come after you lol.. OMG the atmosphere is just nasty scary.. for being an Alpha. Fun developer stuff like hit F1 and it adds a light to the room lol. but unlike the old FPS's, this light casts new shadows and dissappears around corners and doors..

really kick'n tech. brings a tear to my eyes..
