i was just reading through this book (there already was a topic about it a while ago, it's basically a list of all kinds of joysticks, made very very good imho)

http://www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/ASIN/3000121838/qid%3D/302-2264148-7638432

then i noticed this entry in the list of used sources:

"Digital Press Collector's Guide, Joe Santulli et. al, Digital Press (siebte Auflage, 2002)" :D

just wanted to share this info, btw , is there so much info about joysticks in "our" guide??

I know Stephan and Winnie. In fact, Stephan handed me this book at E3 last week. It's really attractive, but in German so I can't comment on the content. I think they're going to be part of our collective team very very soon. They put out fine quality work (if you're in Germany you're probably already familiar with MAN!AC magazine).

I don't know how complete our first "advance" edition joystick sections will be but the classic guide is very complete for nearly all systems covered. It doesn't go into the kind of detail that Winnie and Stephan's book goes into, however.

It was I who posted the original post here:

Anybody reading this post may want to see my comments on that book under that link.

This book is seriously awesome. German or not, every collector should own this book. It's that good!

ah hehe, ok, that explains a lot ;) then why did they not mention the digitpress.com!!

of course i'm familiar with Man!ac, i've got almost every issue (still searching for the other ones...)

ah ok, didn't know that, man i really have to get myself the 8th edition when it comes out ;)

btw, talking of joysticks, do you try to list EVERY joystick in the book?? if that's the case i'd keep my eyes open for "new" ones, have you seen my topic "Does anyone know this Arcade Stick/Joyboard?" ?
