How are old C64, Atari, TI99 etc. games transfered into modern PC's from their old formats? Is there a special program unique to each computer format? I noticed there is an ADAM emulator but there are no ADAM games or programs online. How would you transfer old 5 1/2" disks into a PC to run on the ADAM emulator?

With most of the old disk formats, the drives actually had their own "brains" and so you can control them without the computer they were designed to integrate with. With an ADAM I have no idea how it's done.
On the C64 someone had to write a controlling program (starcommander) and design a Parallel cable that could control the floppy and transfer data back and forth with the drive. It took years of hard work by the parties involved to be able to do this..

Thought everyone knew that.
BTW: I have the Star Commander software and transfer cable, about to be put up on ebay shortly. Incase anyone's looking for one, and doesn't have the know how to make it.
