This was a new one for me...

So as some people might have read in the Emulation forum last week, I was sufficiently impressed with "Shatterhand", which was the NES game of the week, that I bought a complete copy of it on eBay. So it gets here today. This is a complete game mind you. The guy scotch taped the box shut. No, not the box he shipped it in. The NES box. The Shatterhand box. Scotch taped. Top and Bottom. Both ends. I know that he just did it because the auction showed the contents of the package. He sent it in one of those priority mail boxes that the post office gives away and he stuffed it with styro peanuts, but for some reason he felt the need to SCOTCH TAPE THE NES BOX SHUT!!!!! Like somehow the contents were going to spill out in that cardboard and styrofoam cocoon he created. For me at least, that's a new one.

Of course it wasnt too much tape ;) I was able to take it off without hurting the box badly. :D

well when I used the BIn on the NWC gold cart a few years ago, I opened the box looked at the cart, and then it read, inside is a bomb, and it exploted right after i got threw reading that. It sucked kinda, luckily the seller didnt know about the bomb so he game me a full refund of 5 bucks.

I feel your pain man. I once ordered a ton of NES complete games that were all rental copies. All kinds of crap and stickers on the boxes and carts. It's a sad feeling. They're kinda sitting on the floor by themselves cause they are so ugly looking.
