I've heard about Final Fantasy I+II coming to the GBA. Is it a straight port of the WonderSwan/PSX version, or is it actually a separate remake? In NP, there's a mention of a new dungeon, and other extras.

I'll probably pick it up when it comes out (even though I do have FF Origins), if only to play Final Fantasy on the go.

Now, the question is: when the hell are we gonna see at last a North American release of FF III?

I couldn't imagine it being a straight port. I'm sure it'll have enhancements, namely in the form of graphics.

Blame Bandai for the lack of FF3. I think it's stuck in Contract Hell because of them.

Isn't Nintendo one of the major shareholders of Bandai?

Anyways, I heard that the remake of FF will have a new dungeon, and FF2 will have a new character or something.

FF1 will have some new dungeons that feature bosses from other Final Fantasies.

FF2 will have a new section of the game that features the characters that join you party for limited times during the regular game.

what does bandai and the wonderswan have to do with the US market. there is no reason why square-enix cant release the game in the states, and wait out the negotiations or contract hell before releasing the japanese version... its not like they are missing out on anything if it is available on the wonderswan.
