"Casino Kid in good condition boxed with sleeve. 5.99 s/h. I dont combine shipping charges!"

That means it you win 10 games from him, shipping would be 60 dollars. But on the package he sends, it would say 3.68 media mail. what an asshole

I have a feeling we will be seeing alot of this now that surcharges have been banned. E-bay should implement pre-set shipping charges like Amazon.com. First-class shipping on a game is (I beleive) $2.50.

That's the limit for Media Mail, yes. The charges are set but they can varry a little depending on the class of the item -- i.e., you get more for books (which are heavier) as opposed to games.

This is why I buy and sell 95 percent of my items on Amazon as opposed to EBay. Well, one of the many reasons. ;)

Ugh, I am getting so tired of seeing this on ebay. I would like them to give a damn reason why they can't combine shipping. Oh wait....so they can pocket more of my money??

Yeah, I saw a DC Talk CD on eBay, buy-it-now for $3.00 and $5.00 shipping. For one CD. No combined shipping either.

I bet there are eBay sellers that have put a down payment on a house by how much they overcharge on shipping. I like that Amazon idea.

there was a guy selling a bunch of nes instruction lots a few weeks ago. 10 for each lot. $5 shipping. He said he wouldn't combine shipping so don't even ask. A week later he had a BIN on them for $.50 and $7 shipping. $7 shipping! I guess 7.50 isn't too bad for 10 manuals...but i just couldn't justify giving my money to that scumbag.

I just saw one of those lots yesterday. What a dick...

If I can figure out a set shipping cost for a given item, why can't eBay? :hmm:

All this bullshit going on with shipping makes me pretty sure that I'm not going to buy a thing on eBay anytime soon, if ever.

You have to realize that a lot of sellers aren't making anything more than most other sellers; their auctions usually end lower but they make it up with high shipping charges. It actually usually comes out pretty much even.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not sticking up for them or anything, I hate it too. All I'm saying is that their profit is usually about the same. ;)

And don't blow off all eBay sellers as being dishonest, there are still lots of honest sellers out there...Sometimes, charging $5-6 isn't THAT dishonest, it all depends on how they ship it. Priority Mail costs at least $3.85 (for 1 lb).
