I almost hate to say it, but when you look at that picture with all the stuff included, it DOES look pretty nice. Very seventies-consumer-chic-crap-ish :P

Yeah..I was watching that. I have 1 complete RCA II amd 2 systems sans tv hookup. I am looking for a box and manuals and would have bid on this one but the description says that the back page of the manual was bad so I skipped it. I don't know if I would pay $220+ for a box though.

The art design for the Studio II was awful, but hilarious. I've got a Studio II owner's manual, which shows the same art as one of the scenes on the box, and it's like a '50s throwback. Dad looks like the kind of guy who demands his pipe and slippers after dinner, Mom looks pleasantly vapid and unopinionated, and Junior points at the TV, oddly entralled by the large white squares. Maybe it's just me, but it seems like it was designed two decades too early.

What Junior is really saying...

I often bid on behalf of the CGE Museum. Our museum has a pristine RCA Studio II but no box. $225 is more than what it's worth which just goes to show you how wild eBay prices can be.

Off to the next item!

For those of you playing our home game, loneeagle4u is also the idiot who paid $960 for a complete Peek a Boo Poker way back when. At least DP has a valid reason!

Hmm.. and I was the high bidder on that when I went to bed... the 228 seems a bit higher than the 30 I initially bid :D

But DP, for $5 more you could HAVE had that! :P
