Freeware Retro Video Game

I just finished making a new flash game which has a retro look. The look was going for somewhere around NES styles. It's a 2 player game, and it's developing a little following with people posting strategies and combo ideas. The game is about 2 wizards who battle it out by summoning creatures and casting sorceries. Check it out at:

From the description it sound alot like another nes game. Damn the name of which excapes me at the moment.

I'm not exactly sure what's going on but the idea is pretty good (I'd see about doing something with the background). I don't like the control scheme but with a bit of work I could get used to it. Didn't have any second player so it was mostly me launching attacks at the hapless red guy, but I guess I see there's a defense ability in the fireball that requires three mana to launch.

I'd actually say it's really promising looking - with some tweaks this could hold my attention much longer than a Snood ever would :)

Music is pretty nice, and the graphics (outside of Flash backgrounds, heh) are a winner.

I'd actually like to see a direct-to-TV version of this.
