Okay, I'm sure we've all done this -- you've had a bad day at work, or school, or whatever, and you come home dead tired, and you're frusrated and angry at people, the world, or life in general. All you want to do before bed is try to unwind a little bit and take out some of your frustration.

So you decide to play one of the carnange games. You know, the kind og game where all you do is blow EVERYTHING and anything uo. No hold barred, graphics violence, shooting anything that dares moves.

What do you consider best for this stress relief?

I've always loved the Contra games, and all of them (including Shattered Soilder) are good for a release. GTA III is also fun for some harmless mayham sometimes. I hear the Metal Slug games are good for this also although I've never played one.

Games are great for taking the edge of a crappy day at work. Just as good as booze, but you can still legally drive afterwards. It's always better to grit your teeth and ice some fake people than take the post office hostage.

I find the best games for stress reduction are the ones with tons of stuff going on at the same time and lots of button mashing. Contra and Metal Slug are good. I find that games that encourage you to wail on the controller while you play adds an extra amount of relief. The Dynasty Warriors series on ps2 work nicely, as does Smash Mellee.

Like SoulBlazer said, you can't go wrong with GTA. I don't know why, but I've always found clubbing the paramedics especially amusing. Inner sociopath mayhaps? :hmm:

Metal Slug of course, and any easy beat em' up games like (perfect title) Spider-Man and Venom: Maximum Carnage... I love Green Jelly.

Anything easy. After a stressful day the last thing i need is more stress :P

Sega Rally on saturn or Mortal Kombat on Mega Drive fit the bill often enough.
