PayPal accepted, and e-mail confirmation of shipping received. So it's mine in a few days...

And even if the console itself doesn't work (I'm confident I can fix it), I'm more than happy to get some of the boxes and overlays. Don't know if I'm getting the IntelliVoice or not - that is the big black box on the right side of the console, correct?

I'm thinking a good cleaning and general once-over might do the trick. Hell, even if it doesn't work, I always really wanted an Inty I anyway. So at least I'll have a good stack of games, and I won't have to hunt for the Voice unit.. :)

Nice snag. By the way, do you think that guy could more sloppily arrange that INTV stuff?

20 games with boxes and overlays for $25 shipped? Sounds like a pretty good deal if you don't have them already. Even better deal if you can fix the console like you say.

Good luck on fixing that console, that would make it one kick ass deal. I wish I could find a intv for a good price....picked up a TON of complete games at goodwill the other day on half off day for 27$. ;)

Well, they're not all boxed, but most of them have the overlays. And, no, I don't have any Inty stuff - so I was pretty happy to win this.

I asked the guy if he knew specifically why the unit wouldn't work, and got an e-mail back saying specifically "it wouldn't do anything". :o So I dunno, but I've managed to resurrect both an NES and an SNES by very basic means in the last six months - so my track record is pretty good. :D

Next up is a Coleco... 8-)

Goodwill's been pretty good for me lately as well - I grabbed eight clean, mostly complete 3DO games there a couple weeks ago for about $12 total. Would have been ten 3DO games, too, except that I didn't have quite enough cash on me at the time. :( I have no 3DO player, of course, so I'll have to see about finding an emulator or something for the moment.

And as far as Inty stuff goes - there's nothing in my area. The only console I know of for sale is an Inty I that's priced at a rather exorbitant $50. (Though it comes with a loose copy of Donkey Kong, so I guess it's really only like...$48. )

Got it in the mail today! :)

Packaging left something to be desired - most of it was just loosely stuffed into a reasonably-sized box with one thin strand of bubble wrap and some plastic sheeting - but nothing appears to be damaged. Here's what I found:

1) Everything is rather dirty - the batch obviously spent quite a bit of time in someone's basement. But that's okay - I've seen much worse than this. In fact, it might well have been shipped in the same box it has resided in these many years, since a small spider ( ! ) made the journey as well. (Too bad I had to send it on another, more meaningful journey... )

2) Most of the boxed games are in very good shape, with only Donkey Kong and MLB suffering any scars (one flap is missing from each). Pitfall's box has an Imagic plastic insert inside, which is interesting. All the other instructions and overlays appear to have been well kept - no major creases or tears. Along with all this goodness, I also received a 1982 Intellivision catalog (featuring "Tron I" and "Tron II") and - interestingly - the instruction manual for an Intellivision I. (Possibly traded in after it broke?)

3) The console is (like everything else) dirty, but doesn't seem to have anything wrong with it. There are no rattles, no loose bits. Even the controllers seem to be in fairly decent shape. And the IntelliVoice unit is present. Where I have a problem, methinks, is...

4) The hookups. What I don't have that's fairly crucial is the oddball 16.2V power adapter (I was given a really crappy-looking 7.5V one that rattles). I've got plenty of RF switches, so that's no big deal. I know it's capable of getting power, because I plugged another (low-voltage) adapter in just to see if anything would happen. The LED flashed briefly, then died - thus telling me that a new power supply will most likely get the sucker working and fix my issues.

Anyone got a spare? :D
