...well, i've had a few loose sfc games here and there, but loose.
i got Gradius II for my duo...i was really impressed with the instructions. Full color and original artwork, plus it came with some cool looking stickers (which i didn't know i was getting).
Do all import games have such luscious instructions?
this game is damn hard too...those ice things on stage 3 are just like...ouch.

Nice choice. :)
Yep, it's pretty common for Japanese games to have much nicer packaging than US games. Little extras aren't infrequent either. My Choaniki on Super Famicom came with a little mini-cd of music (as did Cotton 100% on Super Famicom and Athena on Famicom, and there are probably tons more I don't know of or forgot). Stickers are really common. I especially like the memory card stickers that came with my Mitsumete Knight.

Once you've masterd stage 3 the game is fairly easy.

Well, good to hear that...but stage 3 is still handing my ass on a platter.

heh. wait 'til you see some of the cool l.e. ps and saturn stuff... as far as duo games go, two of my favorite packages are far east of eden ziria (the version in the double case with the alternate cover art and lenticular sticker as the back cover art), and snatcher (2 manuals and a nice sticker set). a lot of early jp ps games have stuff like memory card stickers and the like in the regular editions. a while back, someone had sent me a stack of loose sticker sheets from something like 50 or so ps games (arc the lad, jumping flash, crime crackers, kileak, etc...), but i can't seem to find them around here (i think i hit 3000 games recently, but i haven't had time to count them for a while)...
