Ok this guy on another site said even though they show two green xbox lots and 3 black ones that they are all green. so i was wondering if any of you could prove this wrong.....or better yet prove it right? I am sticking with it being what the picture is just to be on the safe side.

Thanks

It would be dumb to use the black pics if all five are green, it's damn easy to photoshop a game with a system, no reason for them to do that. I'm betting a lot that only the 2 bundles are green, not all 5.

A regular black Xbox is indeed a VERY dark green.

A regular black Atari 5200 is really a VERY dark brown.

Maybe someone is playing word games?

id say the only 2 xbox sets that are DewU Lime Green are the PGR2 set and the Amped 2 set

Well, I'd say unless he works at a Pepsi prize distribution center or somehow by miracle he's already recieved his packages, he wouldn't know.

my big question now is when are the green xboxes actually coming. i mean the est. delievery date says 5/24/04, but that passed a few days ago and the area where it says UPS tracking is still blank which means it hasnt shipped yet.

We aren't talking about a regular Xbox, though. We're talking about those at the Dew U Redemption program site (http://dewu.yahoo.com).

I don't know how much clearer than that it gets.

By the way, I looked REALLY HARD at an Xbox just now because this question never seems resolved...I still see no reason to believe it's anything but black. I'm looking at it under good, bright lights, and lots of them. I can look at it during the daytime or any time and it looks black. I only can slightly convince my brain that it could be even slightly green because of the dust and the edges of the textured surfaces just almost look to be slightly green. The polished surfaces are black, though.

Maybe I'll put it under my super bright halogen lamp tomorrow to see if it doesn't reflect any green. x_x

Some folks must have special eyes. I know I sure don't.

Ed:

The person in the original post said that the images for the "regular colored" Xbox in the Dew U promotion are shipping as the lime green ones. What Omnedon is saying is that they are both green, but the person doesn't specify which shade.

And yes, it is green. A very dark, dark forest-almost-black-green.

the person that told u that the black ones are actually green, meant that they are actually really dark green like somebody else has already said. Everytime i call Xbox's black on Cheapassgamer, i get atleast 1 person tell me that they're dark green. They didnt mean that the black ones are actually the bright green.

Doh, I messed that one up.

That said, the bloody regular XBox still looks completely black to me. I don't see where you folks get this "forest green" stuff from.

I would have to say that the "Regular Black XBox" really is "forest green." I don't know if it really is, or if I have heard it so many times that I actually believe it.

That's it, I'm putting a halogen on the damn thing tomorrow.

If it indeed is "really dark green" then I've NEVER seen something so dark before outside of messing around with a color wheel.

Talk about determination...

I'll just go play PGR on my "what-the-hell-I-think-it's-just-black-but-whatever" Xbox, and let you guys fuss about the details. :P

The imagequality isn't the best, but I think it's recognizable - put something nearly black like a black Gamecube next to it and you should see the difference immediately :)

This reminds me of the fact that the JVC X'Eye is actually a really dark blue, not black. It is easier to see than the than the XBox.
