Ok, won this auction:

It came today. Put it in, played it for a bit, works fine. Left the seller a positive feedback. Later when I really look, the game is a damn CD-R. Now I'm really stuck since I left him a positive. I had never seen an Amiga CD before so I figured everything looked normal. Is there anything I can do? I E-mailed him and demanded a refund but I'm betting I'm going to get screwed in this one huh? :(

So far nothing like this has ever happened to me. Really sucks that you got a CD-R and left him positive feedback. There should be some way to report him becasuse this is QUITE illegal, I'm not sure how though. Good luck on getting your money back!

Tell him that you will report him to ebay and turn him into whatever authority in your country handles piracy. After he gives you your money back, turn him in anyway.

I'm not sure but there may be a way to add an adendim to a feedback, though I've never had to do it so I can't give you any help on how. Definetly report him.
I learned early on to only buy things with an actual picture of the item, not a stock photo or game screen. The less chances taken, the better.

Good - someone else hates the idea of "prefilled item information" as much as I do.

Yes make that three.
Ive been hunting disc art variants for some PSOne games. No bids if i dont see the pictures of the game, or get a response back from the seller thats to my liking. That ask a seller a question function is a great thing. I keep all of the stuff sent back and forth until I get the game and check it out and all that good stuff before feedback.
How'd you not know that it wasnt real? Did it have a fake cover on it?
I recently got 2 games that didnt match their pictures, I raised hell, and the one seller that messed up bad, is now sending me another game for the problems caused (he is getting what he sent me back). Though i'll admit that this seller isnt probably the rule, but the exception.
Like Funkenstein said, you can add to your feedback, but i thought that it was only in response to feedback left. So try and go from there first. But contact him AND eBay; him to get something done about it, and eBay to get his ass banned.
Good Luck

There's not really much you can do about it except be thankful that you didnt spend that much money on it. I suppose if you really wanted to you can respond to your own feedback but you won't be able to change your positive to a negative.

Responding won't do any good. His feedback is private, most likely because of situations like this. I was able to tell it was CD-R because it says CD-R very small on the inner ring. Then I compared the bottom and relized that it had to be. The color was off. Thanks for the help!

Are you sure this is a pirate though? A lot of games put out on CD for the Amiga were and are put onto CDRs. Presumably because the market is so small. I've a whlole load of games like that (Genetic Species, Xtreme Racing etc). But to be honest I don't even remember Fighting Spirits getting a release on CD!
