I don't know why, but until recently I had never heard of this company, now I see the name EVERYWHERE. Every time I turn around, that logo. Add on top of that, the GBA Video's that are out. It's like the company is everywhere. And after doing a search I find they've been here forever and were even rereleasing old SNES and Genesis games. When did I miss that?
What are your thoughts on this company?

I think they distributed the Genesis 3 and the Game Gear Core System...
But they are doing one thing Im particularly excited about, Guilty Gear XX #Reloaded on Xbox Live :D ...If only there was a decent stick to play it with :(

Hmm, in a rough sort of timeline -
Majesco cardboard box rereleases of Genesis games - cheap but probably not as bad as some of the locally-produced Australian versions of Sega Master Systems are said to have been (bad cartridge construction in many cases, I hear)
Genesis 3 - oh dear god. Hey, they're not as common as the original Genesis, so that makes them desireable, right? NO! They are awful.
Flash forward to today -
Blowout (PS2, XBox, and a version on GameCube) - somehow or other a really promising idea for a Contra style shooter with a story is stripped of most promising details and turned into a very mindless experience with only the briefest flashes of brilliance (in the form of the dialogue). Currently this is one of gaming's biggest mysteries for me. o_O
I really do hope they get their act together and make a decent version of the game or...something. O:

Majesco made Bloodrayne. Don't even tell me that game isn't awesome. Don't even tell me.

They publish a whole bunch of crap. And by crap I mean: they re-release stuff, they publish a lot of crappy games, and they publish a small number of okay games. Iridion 3D ain't so shabby, in my opinion.

What's wrong with them? Not being sarcastic, I really don't know.

I think a few years ago they were going to also re-release the Sega Saturn and a bunch of games but the deal fell through. Now that would have been good. :)

actually majesco PUBLISHED bloodrayne. terminal reality (nocturne, blowout) made bloodrayne, and bloodrayne 2 (which is spectacular, i have to drool).
majesco is a publisher and distributor, but has also dipped it's toes into a few peripherals over the ages as well. here's a list i stole from gamefaqs rather quickly of most of their output:

so yes, some great, some good, some klunkers, but more than enough games and company history to make them a mini-moderate player in the industry.

Genesis 3 - oh dear god. Hey, they're not as common as the original Genesis, so that makes them desireable, right? NO! They are awful.

Well, the major attraction is that they have the small form factor and lower price. Unfortunately that smaller size (roughly 7-9 inches square if I had to guesstimate off the top of my head) means that some important features got cut.
S-Video we can live without, but these consoles seem to have a strange problem where red is exaggerated on some lines (like my characters in Phantasy Star II would get red eyes - they're normally black - now and then) and sometimes color in a specific pixel seemed shifted out. It's very noticeable in a menu like Shadow Dancer's - color seemed shifted to the left.
Sound - there's no Z80 processor so sound is often garbled. There's no headphone jack and no stereo support, either, so you'll be playing with sound out of only one channel (depending on your TV). No stereo sound?
Even the Nomad manages to do composite A/V and stereo sound well. It's smaller than the Genesis 3 (which has essentially a one-chip design) but I guess the key here was price.

Thanks for the info, I had no idea. I have a Genny 2 and a 3 (no 1 yet) and have been wondering which one to hook up in my RoD. Now I know!

So, if they are only publishing the GBA Videos, who is actually making them? The same company? Terminal Reality?

Well.. They screwed up Spongebob Vol. 2.. Print BubbleStand and Ripped Pants on the box. Put Hall Monitor and Jellyfish Jam.
I am angered and mad.

The list failed to mention the Majesco-published Bomberman Generations, which was a damn good game in my opinion (decent single, as always, incredible multi).
