Hi All,

I'm thinking of selling my Quadrun. I picked it up over 10 years ago and it still was shrinkwrapped. I opened it to inspect it (I didn't trust the seller that much) and to try it out and it has stayed that way ever since.

I went poking around on ebay and see that there hasn't been one sold for the last 30 days. I know its rareity and all, but I'd like to get some thoughts on reserve price and the like. I don't do much selling (I'm a pack rat like a good number of us) and I hate to get rid of anything. But I have some things I want to do this summer and could use some cash.

Any thoughts ?

This reminds me of the Chris Rock joke about the crack dealer who asks "What am I supposed to do with all of this crack?" :)

But seriously, you are doing a smart thing by testing the waters first. I would duplicate this post on Atari Age and see if you get any big collectors fishing for it before you put it out on ebay.

Since you have the game complete, I would set the reserve at whatever the DP guide value of it is for loose, if you can live with that. I'm 99% certain you will get much more than that for the complete game. IMO setting an exorbitantly high "Buy It Now" price is a big turn off, but you didn't mention that possibility so forget I said it.

If I were you, I would post this on Atariage to generate some attention. I would personally set the reserve at $400. Just a little bit above the DP mark because it is complete. Obviously if you promote it here and at Atariage you will definitely get more than that.

Good luck on your sale. :-P

Thanks for the tips. I'll head over to Atari Age this weekend.

Still complete, in great condition, and almost still shrinked? Hmmm hard to judge... I'd set a reserve of $500 for it, and expect it to make it over that by $100 at least...
