Stock description shows the Saturn cover. That picture looks like a SMS game to me, but it's for the Genesis. x_x

On a side note. Am I the only one who thinks those stock descriptions suck?!? I have seen several auctions where that's all there is. No "real" description of conditions or anything. I know you can/should ask questions, but I come upon some auctions last minute and can't do that.

1) I've got that one - it's a Master System game. The box is different because it was one of the very few SMS third-party releases, in this case from Activision.

2) I assume he used the Saturn info because there wasn't any available for the SMS version (in which case he could have gotten off his dead ass and written one himself, but...).

3) No, it is NOT playable on a Genesis - without the Power Base Converter, anyway. My money's on the seller just spacing it out. ("It's from Sega, right? Didn't they make the Genesis or somethin'? Bet that's it...")

And yes, I despise what eBay calls "Pre-Filled Item Information". It's easier to list, but many people don't put anything to describe the item at all when they use it. I won't even bid on an auction that doesn't include at least some sort of seller description.

4) If you take the time to read his actual description, then you would see it comes with NO box or manual, I'm guessing that's not his image anyway.

He may really have the genesis version, but when he lifted his image, he just did a search for Sega Rampage and used the first one he found.

I've seen numerous auctions on eBay where they said that they were selling a Genesis game, but it was actually a Master System game. Bloody incompetent sellers.

I think ebay's stock descriptions are completely useless. Anyone who's searching for a game on ebay already knows what it is that they're looking for and doesn't need a summary of the gameplay, they DO however need to know the condition of the item which most sellers don't bother giving.

wow....that boggles the mind. A sega saturn stock photo for a sega genesis game with a photo taken from a digital camera that show the box and cart to a game he doesn't have the box or instructions to. OH MY GOD.

And yeah, the box does look weird but it's like the only master system game that's not a white cover that i think of in US releases.

Where do you guys see that it is a Genesis game??

It's a SMS game and that is what the box looks like. I have the game.

I can't see anything that says Genesis. Or did he update the auction??

They have updated the listing, but it still shows a photo of the game next to the box, and then it says that they don't have the box or instructions right under it. They used to have a Sega Saturn stock photo in the listing too.

Still very confused.

" I DO NOT HAVE THE BOX OR THE INSTRUCTIONS "

So what you are trying to say is that you stole that pic from somebody else on ebay ? x_x
