Xbox Exhibition Demo discs..

How many Exhibition discs ARE there for the Xbox? Where do they come from? And why can't I find number 3 anywhere?

I have 1, 2 and 4. But I can not find 3 anywhere. And are there any after 4? 4 seems to be old. The games on it have been out for a while now. TMNT, Ghoulies, Gotham 2, PoP, Voodoo Vince..

Just curious. It's weird I see 1, 2 and 4 everywhere. Every GS, EB I go to has these used or new. But none have 3 or anything after 4 if there were any.

There are only four exibition disc, so far... I have seen #3 around, the Toys R Us near me has them , i think. In my opinion they are just microsofts equivilent to sonys jampacks that come out for the ps2. The 3rd exibition disc has demos of:
apex
atv quad power racing2
brute force
gladius
inside pitch 2003
nba street vol 2
return to castle wolfenstein
moto gp2
tao feng
and some other videos and stuff.
next time im at toys r us ill look and see if you still havent found one ill snatch it up.

Damn.. and I decided to skip TRU today.

Well, I'll look next time I'm there as well. it just feels weird having one missing. Are they not making more? It's a great idea. Though, I guess I could still just subscribe to OXM or something.

#5 is suppose to come out shortly. i dont know the exact date, but i think it is sometime in june or july.

Oddly enough, I'm also missing #3...

I love these discs, sometimes I like the videos and songs more than the games on them!

My copy of #4 is defective though, I can't play the Project Gotham Racing 2 demo, or the ESPN NBA Basketball demo...kind of lame since those are two games I'd like to try out.

I have been made to understand #5 is coming out in a couple of weeks

Ive got all 4, BUT my #2 came with the Ultimate Halo doo-dad that was a preorder thing for Brute Force.

So i need one of the cases for a #2 which i can never seem to find anywhere. Id even buy a new one, but cant find them either. Only thing that makes them kinda nice is that they have some download stuff on them, extra levels and stuff, for the Live based games if someone doesnt have access to live.

Weird answer to your problem, but have you tried boiling your disc?

It's a suggestion I read on IGN and other Xbox boards where if you can't play the disc it's possibly slightly warped. I blew it off until I bought an issue of OXM and the disc didn't want to work. I ordered a new disc so when my wife was boiling our contact cases to sterilize them I figured "what the hey".

I took a large plastic spoon and immersed it in the boiling water. I then plopped the disc into the water label side down and let it sink a bit. The spoon basically kept the disc from touching the sauce pan's bottom. I let it boil for about a minute, then I pulled it out of the water with the spoon and set it on a dry towel to dry. Couple hours later I wiped off any condensation or water spots and popped it into the 'box. Voila! It played.

Now, do you recommend any spices or special seasonings in the pot with the disc? When I pull the disc out and throw it against the wall, and it sticks...is it done??
