Yay, I finally started one of these!
Anyway, I did real good today at the garage sales:

and the highlight:
A Sega saturn with 2 controlers and these games:
Hardcore 4x4
NBA Jam TE
Worldwide Soccer
Independance Day
Bug!
Mortal Kombat 2
NHL All Star Hockey
NFL Quarterback club 96
World Series Baseball
Galactic Attack
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3

Virtua Fighter 2
Wrestlemania the arcade game
Sonic 3d blast
Street Fighter the movie
Black fire

All for a total of $20! One catch though: All the games are disc only. If anyone has extra cases or instructions to these games, PM me!

Thanks to the sale going on at the Blockbuster Gamerush stores, I got the following games for free:
Metal Slug 3 New
WarioWare (GC)
Need For Speed Underground (PS2)
Jak II
Toe Jam & Earl III
Well, they weren't totally free. I had to trade in games for them, but they were all crappy PS1 sports titles I haven't touched in years, so it feels like they were free at least. (which is already on top of the RalliSport Challenge 2, Splinter Cell: PT, RE Outbreak, and Socom II i also scored earlier in the week from Gamerush. ;) )

all hookups, power, RF, etc
Sega Master System - base unit only

and the following Genny carts (carts only)
Sonic 2 (2 copies)
Sonic 3
Sonic & Knuckles
Sonic Spinball
Jungle Strike
Desert Strike

After visiting Midwest Gaming Classic the collecting bug has worked its way back in.
Found the following at Goodwill:
NES (all loose):
TMNT II: The Arcade Game
Mega Man 3
Contra Force
Section Z
Super Spy Hunter
Linus Spacehead's Cosmic Crusade (non Aladdin)
Commando
Solar Jetman
Treasure Master
They were $1.99 each. And I forgot my 15% off coupon. Oh well.

I walked into the local Thrift store this morning and found 22 Atari carts sitting on the front counter. .99 each, mostly commons but a few 3's like CBS Electronics' Blue Print and some others. I think probably half of them are dupes but ah well, .99 cent trade pile fodder.
I also got Sega GT 2002/Jet Set Radio Future (xbox) for .49. Looking at it now I can see where it says 4.98 but I think she didn't see the 8 and just charged me .49.

Between Saver's and the garage sales I landed a couple small but interesting finds:
APF-1000 TV Game, boxed - $3
Intellivision Voice Module, boxed - $4
Saver's really needs to get their heads together about game pricing. I found a loose Genesis copy of Hard Drivin' on the floor for $6 while they had a whole slew of Genny sports titles behind the glass priced at $3 each O_O . I couldn't talk them down on the Hard Drivin cart so I had to pass for now. Ponderous, man. F-----g ponderous. :hmm:

A friend of mine and I went in together and scored a Joust and Stargate, both full uprights. Got both of them working with minor repairs. Both are in VERY good shape cosmetically and were supposedly owned by the VonErich family (a huge wrestling family around the Dallas area in the early to mid 80's).
Total cost for both: $280!! @_@
The Joust is mine and the Stargate belongs to my buddy. Can't complain a bit about this one!

Went with the family on a trip to tucson to check out a really cool museum, tons of fun. On the way back stopped at a bookman's and picked up quite a few nice things:
SMS
Aztec Adventures - 2 (complete)
Double Dragon - 2 (complete)
Shanghai - 5 (complete)
TG16
Bonk's Adventure - 5 (complete)
INTV
Beauty & The Beast - 2 (complete)
Mission-X - 2 (complete)
Sega Saturn
Marvel Super Heroes - 10 (complete)
Sega CD
Lunar: Silver Star - 15 (complete)
I wish this place wasn't 100 miles away, they got tons of great stuff and cheap. The other two bookman's though are like the ones near me in Mesa, all around good, nothing great, and way overpriced. For some reason the one on Speedway is nice and cheap ;). Good close to the weekend, now it's time to break down and watch a movie.
Ikari Warrior
05-31-2004, 12:35 AM
Picked up some PS1 rarities along with some SNES stuff.
Intelligent Qube
DDR Disney Mix
Xmen Mutant Apocalypse
American Tail: Fievel Goes West
Disney Mix has been going crazy on ebay, $80-100 lately. I found it on the Gamestop website, 1 copy within 100 miles. I called and they couldn't confirm if they had it or if it was complete. So I took the hour+ drive to take a chance and found it complete for $25. I'm doing a summer camp with 6-10 year olds this summer and want to set up a DDR setup in our class, this will make a great addition for the younger kids.

With the orange writing do they have arrows like going out in all directions? If so then I have those controllers. They are for my atari 800xl. I had the computer when I was younger, not one of the game systems. I don't know if they are exclusively for use on the 800xl, I doubt it.

Hit a bunch of thrifts on Memorial Day... didn't find much until the last stop.
Genesis (all with boxes but no manuals)
Shining Force :D
Michael Jackson's Baby Dangler... I mean Moonwalker
Greendog: The Beached Surfer Dude! I really wasn't aware of this game before. Looks pretty horrid.
NES
Joust - with box but no manual
Offical FCI Hint Book for Ultima: Exodus. Didn't know such a thing existed.
$3 each for the games. $.50 for the book.
Hit a couple game stores too, but didn't find anything. Passed on PSX R-Types for $20 (not sure I made the right decision on that one), and Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo for $40. I want that game, but that's too much.
