Picked it up yesterday and finally had to stop because my thumbs just can't take anymore. My full review should be up shortly.

This is just a great game but the ally system is crap. I just got killed and lost $300 because the stupid idiot tossed me off a ledge in the tire factory. That will be the last time I let anyone join me. Anyone have any other stories so far?

Regardless, the fact that everything can be saved now gives this one so much more replay value. This is one I wont stop playing until I've got everything bought.

I WANT to play this game. I know it a japanese only game also. I just don't know anything else about it. Like what system its for. I am guessing gba, or gc. Who can link me and tell me what system its for!?

Mas: It's on GBA and recently came out.

After I get a few of the GBA games that I want (Wario Ware, Mario vs. Donkey Kong) I'm gonna pick this up.

MarioAS: This is not a Japanese game only. It came out over here this week. Tuesday I think. Full English. Got it at EB for $29.99

i am turning into such a GBA whore....

i picked this up the other day and played through a bit of it... feels just like old, except for the computer ally... which i'm not sure about yet.

Mario Vs. Donkey Kong has been taking up most of my gaming time lately tho....

BARF!

Picked it up the day it came out. Rocks. The ally is a little goofy. My ally likes to throw weapons/enemies in my directions. Thanks for the help bro!

I liek the fact you can save and the new character models. I don't like the lack of a jump button.

There was no jump button in the original either. Annoying, but true to the first one.

I just learned your limited in the techniques you can have. You have to completely discard them if your full, meaning that if you $300 for one and want another one past your limt, your out $300.

Anyone win the lottery? I've got 3rd place about 8 times. That's the best I've done and I spent at least $800 already. Still got $4000 in the bank though. :D

Have they added new stuff to this?

I really like the original, but it was SO easy and SO quick for me -- I played all the way through it on my FIRST session in about five hours. :o

I'm not buying this unless they did something to make it longer and/or harder.

Sift through your spam. There's probably something about that in there. LOL

To add on to SoulBlazers question, did they ramp up the graphics any like in Dodgeball Advance?

It's not any harder at all. I beat it the first time through in about a half hour. That's not the point though. It's about building your character up. With the new save feature, you can now.

Graphics are of course ramped up. Not alot though.

Check out my review in my sig if you want. I cover it all.

Meh, I'll pass then. If they had only added on some extra stages and make the challenge a little harder. Now I won't get it unless I can pick it up REALLY cheap.

Oh, and Funk, I hate you. :P LOL

My favorite part was when IGN hailed the two-player co-op option, the actual BOX for the game mentions a co-op mode, and then it turns out there is no co-op after all.

It's for this reason that I'm not buying the game. Not including co-op in the remake of the greatest co-op game in history is one thing, but then deceiving us on the box too?

No way. My money's going elsewhere.

Does the save feature in this game save which boss you've beaten too, or do you have to start the whole damn game over every time, albeit with higher stats. And how do I save Ryan (the other guy)'s stats? I know you can load them...

Gamereviewgod

Nope, you start all over. As far as I know, you share stats with Ryan. Once you've loaded Alex, it'll ask you to load Ryan. Select the same file. Your good to go.

The lack of a two-player feature was pretty inexcusable. Excluding Renegade and its unlicensed (and extremely) crappy NES sequel, all of the Kunio games have had a two player mode. Why should this one be any different?

I'll still be playing this, though. The localization is even more hilarious than it was in the first game... there's all kinds of modern references, including a 21st century update to the classic "BARF!". Plus, there's a lot of stuff in the game that I hadn't even realized was there when I played the Japanese version months ago.
