Has anyone ever beat the first level of this game? I get to the building that explodes and then die. Is there anyway around this????

I think I got to the end of the second level, or maybe the start of the third. That game was just damned hard, and it just wasn't very well made. Atari just didn't know how to make platformers (or beat-em-ups, or sports games, or RPG's...)

Wasn't there an Invincibility code for Batman Returns? You should check gamefaqs for that.

Odd. That's the only Lynx game I remember seeing a commercial for.

Same here. :o

Number one reason why the Lynx failed. :hmm:

I got through the first level, never the second (got close a few times, though). That was probably the hardest game I know of on the Lynx, except for possibly Shadow of the Beast.

But I still like and play both of 'em.

I also find this one of the most difficult games I've ever come across. First of all, the exploding building is possible only if you keep your health up. If your health is 100%, your health bar will end up in the yellow after the explosion. In most cases, you'll reach the flashing red though.

The boss at the end of level 1 can only be defeated using batarangs (unless anyone found another way?), which leaves you with only a handful of them in level 2, where you'll be attacked by dozens of enemies which require multiple punches to kill. But the ones with shotguns can stop you in mid-air with one shot, often killing you because you fall into a pit.... I never got any further than (I think) halfway through level 2. According to the manual there are four levels :o

I think it's really stupid there's a place in the game where you have to lose half your health points, it just doesn't make any sense  If there was a way to get around the explosion (or postpone it or something), there would be a challenge. Now it's only irritating

You know, there is a way to get past the building without losing that much life... it took me some time to find, but it's definately possible. You just have to look.

 Look what you did! Now I have to dig up six AA batteries and spend the rest of the night trying to find a way past that explosion

LOL No seriously, thanks for the tip, at last I know there is a way round that bugger, now I've just got to find out how... These are the interesting things, trying to find hidden things in games you know very well :-P
