Just a quick FYI --

SportsCenter on ESPN is going to be doing a story on proffesional players playing sports games and how realsitic that they have gotten, even having a impact on how off-durty players are keeping themselves busy.

The promo was a sight I loved -- Ray Lewis playing Brady throwing a long 1st down pass to Brown and then talking trash. LOL

I imagine this will be reshown on later SportsCenters, but I'm watching the 6 PM one right now.

Good story today.

It seems this is the first part of a five part series -- they are going to look at other things such as how sports games affect kids, the work that pros do to make the games realisitic, and related issues.

Does anyone here plan to record all five days (Sunday-Thursday)?

They also said that a lot of people will play games online -- such as Manning. Boy, would'nt it be cool to play aganist him on the PS2 online and not even know it! :D

Why you gotta make me want a PS2 network adapter?

I watched the segment this morning and it looks like it's going to be an interesting piece, though I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to catch all the segments.

If did make me think about who is on the other end during an online game...imagine your playing a racing game and Dale Jr. is playing against you!

Manning is the "NFL Fever" coverboy; "NFL Fever" is Xbox-only; I'd bet you'd have to play him on Xbox Live...on an Xbox. Join the best console online service and maybe you CAN play against him!

Actually, in interviews Manning has said he plays Madden a lot online as well.

I'm going to try to watch all the segments, but I'm sure I'm going to miss one somewhere. :o

Its going to be intersting this fall with xbox having ea online now. I play sega nfl myself, but it will be curious to see how this changes sales of the games on the two systems.
