I agree that it's suspicious. Perhaps ask the seller? Maybe the button went kaput and he replaced it... But, I'd be cautious if you're aiming for a real unit...

Yep....100% legit system. I'm assuming that they just replaced the button, not hard to do. Famicoms are easily noticable to be real if the include...

1. Microphone and volume control on 2nd controller (pirates dont)

2. Red strip on the front of the system looks like that, and always like that, except in the case of the "hong kong" version that is different but still legit.

3. Hardwired controllers in the back of the system, this version of the system never had "plug in" style controllers. There is a controller port in the front of the system (under the red tab), just for extras like the 3D glasses and keyboard.

4. The stickers on the front over the power and reset are always in japanese...always.

That's it, you may want to try to get that one, shipping is pretty cheap. I wouldn't pay over 40.00 shipped, wanna spend about 10.00-20.00 more you may be able to get a boxed one though (like me). :)

I remember somewhere a while back that replacement buttons tend to be pink/"red," so I'm not surprised at it.

Albeit the original-style Famicom looks like a piece of artwork, you may want to consider skipping it and buying a Famicom AV instead as there is a high chance of that Famicom not wokring on your TV.

Oh yeah, you might want to find out if it has a DC adapter or not as an NES adapter will kill it :embarrassed: Let's just say I know from experience...
